It is faster and more responsive. So if you have an older 1st generation stick these newer fire sticks sold today are much improved.

This does everything that my nice smart tv in my living room does. I also love the remote

I wish there were a way to have a PIN necessary for certain things. I would like a PIN to be required to: View anything on an adult profile. Purchase or rent anything. View items with restricted (parent-determined) ratings. However, I would prefer a PIN not be required for viewing items with certain parent-approved ratings.

I'm so glad I did. This newer version works so much better and has a few more bells and whistles.

Great Movie Nights

The install was very easy and seamless. The interface is simple to operate especially with Alexa! Originally, I installed the Stick in an HDMI port on the side of the TV. I recently installed in the back of my NAD stereo receiver. Now I have 5.1 surround sound for movies!

Great Item For the "Cord-Cutter"

Two of them were 4-K Sticks and then this one. If you don't have a smart TV this will turn yours into one. I do believe the 4-K Sticks are faster than this one, though. There's plenty of freebie stuff out there to stream, so if you don't have a smart TV you owe it to yourself to get one of these.
