I thought since this one was made in 2020 it would do the same. I saw the little t.v. icon on the remote and thought that was the button to turn the t.v. off. My bad. It does exactly what it is supposed to do but I feel kinda dumb for thinking this 2020 version would be better than my old one from last year that handles both the volume and the t.v. turning on and off. I guess I have to use two remotes. No biggie.
