It auto paired with my TV. Use the voice to "switch to game console". Hit the mic to "open youtube" and it'll kick on the TV and get right to it. Volume and mute is nice... should have been there from the beginning? Minimal buttons and it's all you need. Oh yeah, and the dongle is too. Comes with an extender which was a life saver. Seems to be better than my one year old dongle. There is no way a smart TV of any price is better than this.

Wish I knew then, what I know now

Well after buying one to try out the Peacock app, all I can say is I love this thing. I have since bought 4 others, for either my house or as gifts for other people. I love that I can take my dads basically “dumb” TVs and make it into “smart” TVs for almost nothing. For myself I really like that it supports Dish Network, allowing me to stream my recorded shows anywhere.

Adequate for your basic streaming

Easy setup, some free streaming, but must pay for subscriptions for the local and real stuff. Must buy their competitor's for some wifi provider applications such as Spectrum.

Excellent Streaming Media Player

I have multiple Roku players and both are great. The Firestick has voice remote which is a very nice feature. The Roku devices I have do not have a voice remote so I can't compare that feature between the two devices. However, the Firestick has a great voice remote that is Alexa for all your other Amazon smart home devices. I would recommend anyone with an Amazon Prime account to highly consider the Firestick. You can't go wrong with this device.

So easy to use!

It works very well, even though our TV is older. It gives us easy access to all sorts of Apps for the TV making watching Netflix and Amazon Prime, Disney + along with others super easy. It is also really nice because the Fire Stick allows you to also control the TVs volume. I could not be more happy and the price plus service from Best Buy was fantastic.
