I purchased this when I got Prime and had not used a lot other than for a couple of series. My Direct TV DVR went down and they ship nationally so I was totally without cable. After some frustration it suddenly occurred to me to explore that Amazon thing and see what else it could be used for. With D TV I had no reason to search. There are endless apps available once you get past their advertiser supported apps that I was not that fond of. I was able to get news channels other than CNN, Sports channels, endless movies and etc. and to my surprise with a little exploration I even found a TV channel in the City I previously lived. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say based on my use. In the day since TV went down I am certain I only scratched the surface of the possibilities of what this little thing will do. One more positive attribute is once set up it is portable within the house. It is self contained, the power cord is built in one end (although another 12 inches would have been appreciated if you are using a mounted TV) the HDMI (with a USB adapter) comes out the other end. It is so simple to move you only have to disconnect and reconnect with an item that is little longer than you finger. I was really glad I had it the last couple of days.

I purchased this item during COVID-19 when there was only curbside pickup available. It was quick and easy to pick-up! Great job to the Best Buy team that was so well prepared. As for the item, it's the 4th firestick that I have purchased. I love it! Every TV in the house has one and it also makes a great gift for someone who doesn't have one!

I have since upgraded to the 4K model for my new TV, but this was a smart purchase for me. I find it a little snappier than the Roku box I have, plus it seems easier to customize. I mainly got it for the dedicated app for New Japan Pro Wrestling's streaming service, and that and other apps have worked very well on my Fire Stick.

Easy to use they love it. Much faster then then then the old roku.

I bought this firestick because my fist gen was having problems with Kodi. I got this and it's so much faster. What is better is this one does not use as much bandwidth as the 4K edition. If you have data cap on your internet, then you better buy this one over the 4K version because this will time 2.5 times less data than the 4K version.
