Great streaming without issues

There’s a lot more bells and whistles to this than a Roku but I think the streaming video quality in several comparisons is much much better than the Roku and if you have Amazon Prime its all kind of built in. Also Alexa is a added plus for a voice controlled remote and you can use the remote to turn in and off your tv as well

Easy to use Streaming solution for non-Smart TVs

We've used the first on our 2010 model Samsung 50" Plasma the HD is fantastic even though its not 4K!!! Just bought a second for our daugther who did not have cable. Lots of apps and fairly easy to download new apps to the Stick. one word of caution, the stick can get hot and stall if you leave it plugged in continously (days and days) and use it a lot. Unplug let it cool down and you're good to go. Probably happens because my airflow is not great where my TV is located.

Fast and easy

The Amazon Fire Stick does that and so much more! We plugged it in to the TV, put in his passwords and he was set up. Coupled with Alexa, all he has to do is speak into the remote and whatever he's looking for plays. He loves it!

I upgraded from the older style. I always wished they would add these extra buttons for tv control and they did. Way to go Amazon. It’s a great product. I prefer buying these over smart TVs. I can upgrade these, by replacing them, when they get slow or new better products come out. I wish they made large TVs that weren’t smart and came with a replaceable stick like these instead. I gave away my old smart tv (55”) because I could no longer update the firmware, which was necessary for me to update the apps, which needed updating in order to use. The tv still worked ok with one of these but I hated that my smart tv was “broke”. The TV I put this on is an LG and their app catalog was limited, no hbo max, no sports apps, so this fire stick solved all of that. Plus standard same remote for all my TVs is nice. I can use them all the same without looking at the remote for which button to push.

She has a flat screen tv but it’s not a smart tv. So with fire tv now she has a smart tv. She loves it , watches it every day. One of her favorite apps is YouTube. I think she can watch music videos all day , love my boo “Pamela “

No more scrolling for hours looking for something to watch. All I need to do is tell “Alexa” what I’d like to watch or even listen to and she searches through all my favorite apps for me. Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Prime, and all the others.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great as replacement for cable as long as you have someone with cable's log in or can send them the code on your tv to log in for you using their cell phone or desktop browser for the local cable channel apps and any premium apps they are subscribed to. Cable log in apps for premium channels are HBO Go, NOT HBO Now (monthly subscription, not provider log in) and Showtime Anytime, not Showtime (another subscription, not log in service). Make sure to ONLY click on apps that say LOG IN, not FREE TRIAL. If click FREE TRIAL, then your card on file for Amazon WILL BE CHARGED with NO "Are you Sure" or other confirmation link after accidentally clicking start free trial, when u wanted to actually log in with cable provider. I just feel like Amazon tricks customers into making accidental purchases by having multiple apps for the same premium channels as named above, and has NO PROTECTION to prevent you or someone else from accidentally charging YOUR card because they clicked a Free Trial app. You CANNOT turn off purchases or setup dual authentication for
