This is the second one I've purchased. Works great on an older tv. I've cut the cord and have been able to find enough channels to watch, and much cheaper than cable. I also have a Roku TV and between the two, have plenty of choices.

The Fire TV does a good job providing basic smart TV apps with access to Amazon store and your existing Amazon library of TV and Movies. It's small, can hide on the back of your TV with virtually no cables, and the included smart remote works well as a TV remote replacement. If you're looking to add smart tv functionality to a spare bedroom TV, this is a good option. However, it's not all rosy. Amazon has restricted apps like Vudu or the Google Play store. You can access YouTube, Sling, AT&T, Pandora, and Movies Anywhere, but I wish I could access my Vudu library without essentially installing unauthorized software. The device can hook up to a USB power port. Many TVs have USB ports available. In my experience, the USB port on my TV worked, but it worked with huge drawbacks. The FireTV isn't the fastest device in the world. If I kept the device plugged in to the TV power port, my fire stick wouldn't update while the TV was off. That resulted in long waits after turning the TV on to be able to stream or access apps. Also, the included TV USB port didn't provide enough power to power the system updates required by the device. Plugging in to the included AC adapter solved those problems, but it also meant I now have two device and a long cable to deal with. So, it works. It's not the best streaming platform, but as a way of adding smart features to an older tv in a guest room, it works pretty well.

Of all the digital streaming devices out there, the firestick is the best for my needs. Seamlessly sync accounts and the many streaming services that they offer as well. No need to start a separate account like Roku.

my 55" TV still got a great picture but the Smart TV function was to old to up grade anymore. bought this Fire Stick and have all my channels I had on Smart TV plus some! Plus I really this it improved the picture quality!

This has made my streaming experience so exciting, it offers all the programs that I need and I was able to ditch the cable and save one $100 a month. YaHoo I have recommended to all my friends who are doing the same.

love the amazon line. i can control it from either the remote, or the alexa. and, this remote powers the tv. the only thing missing from the remote is an audio out so i don't bother others with the audio

My husband wanted more channels then our cable offered so we purchased the fire stick. We have watched so many amazing movies in the comfort of our home. Never wanted to pay the box office prices. Recommend to every family.

This Amazon Fire TV Stick is so GREAT. I have one in my bedroom and just got another one to put on my living room tv. So many good movies to watch, from action, horror, comedy, drama, etc. Highly recommend it. Thank you!

So happy to have this Amazon Fire TV Stick, especially during Covid when you are home all the time. Keeps me occupied and have watched really wonderful shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Stars and so much more!

Glad I finally picked one of these up. It's much easier than trying to use my phone with a Chromecast and it's definitely less finicky with starting and pausing content. Still a little slow but it's hard to complain for the cost.

This is my second Amazon Fire stick; purchased as a back up in case my 1st one stops working. I can watch all of my favorite movies and shows at a fraction of the cost of purchasing DVD’s or renting movies from Redbox.

I've an older flat screen that hardly got any use solely for the fact that it wasn't a smart TV it was just in our office , but the fire stick works perfectly at letting me watch Netflix,Hbo while I'm working and it wasn't difficult to setup

The set up process is easy. Works well with soundbars. It integrates multiple remotes for TV and sound into a single remote. We're enjoying our new content service options with the product. Alexa is very responsive to my commands!

I really enjoy my new purchase of the fire stick with Alexa Voice Remote. It is very convenient with to enter a request with Alexa. This is my 1st experience with Alexa and I love it. I would recommend this product to all best buy customers.
