It was worth a buy for non smart tv. Pretty easy to use

I like the firestick although sometimes my speech is not clear enough for the device to read

We dropped our satellite tv subscription and switched to streaming. We have a basic flat screen in our room that we've hooked this up to. It works beautifully. We also have taken it along with us on vacations, which is amazing to entertain our toddler who wakes up at the crack of dawn when she's not at home.

Worked great right out of the box. Fast and easy set up.

For the price you simply can't beat it. I was using a Chromecast but it could only do so much. For $10 more, I am now able to access a larger variety of apps and also play games. I would recommend that if you wanted to use the "cast" feature, you get the FireTV since the Stick doesn't support it as easily.

I just got my Fire Stick with Voice Remote for Christmas and it works functionally. This streaming media device would allow me to watch 250,000 movies and tv shows instantly through Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and more. And it also allows me to play some casual games whenever I purchase it for free or paid. This device features a voice remote if I could easily talk on the microphone by pressing the mic button, asking Alexa on voice command I want to watch The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. There are so many apps to choose from. With Amazon Fire TV Stick, I can watch live tv channels from Sling TV and PlayStation Vue with no installations, no cable bills, and no individual contracts! Who needs cable when I have live television at home? I could take my Fire Stick on the go including hotels, business, college dorms, etc. I have many fun experience with future smart television. I recommended you should try it out the Fire Stick, it has much better Wifi connection performance than Apple TV, Roku, and Chromesome. You won't disappoint.

only setback is it gets hot frequently and too quickly

Purchased this Amazon fire stick in the hopes of having access to our favorite shows/channels in one spot. At first worked great, then constant buffering & losing signal. If we lived in the big city I'm sure it'll do great but 20 minutes out not so much. I don't blame the fire stick tho just maybe make it a little stronger.

Recently we decided not to resign up for TV service through our provider and just do everything online. The Fire TV stick made that change super easy and painless with all the services into one device they offer. Also over the chromecast having a dedicated remote makes the experience so much better.
