I bought this for our daughter since we enjoy ours in the living room so much. The Fire Stick adds so much to your tv enjoyment, you really would only need cable without the premium channel, lots of pre-run movies, tv shows, extras, sign up for Amazon Prime you really expand your enjoyment.

This is a great device that allows thousands of programming choices and those get even better if you are an Amazon Prime member. Other viewing choices include Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon, to name a few plus, great choice of music. Combine the experience with Amazon Echo, and you have a winner!

Purchased for guest room and home gym. One of the best streaming sticks out there. Less channels than roku but for a home gym it works well. I prefer the responsiveness of the fire stick to the roku. The roku is good but seems sluggish at times. Definitely pick a couple up for your house and save on your cable bill.

Bought to download twc tv app to, didn't work needed to upgrade to amazon fire tv.

I have one and loved it so much...I bought several as gifts. There are great for young adults college dorms or people who can not afford cable. I use mine in my guest room because I don't feel the need to pay for an extra receiver for a room that is occupied less than 50% of the time.

I'm having problems registering. Amazon customer service is a big disappointment

I have no complaints. I do wish I would have done some research. I could have saved $10.00 and bought the version without the voice remote. Amazon has an App that also has voice remote that works with the firestick without voice remote. Oh well.

I am not a good reviewer of this item because I only "borrow " the internet signal from my neighbor (with their permission ). At times I do lose the signal and there are long buffering times. I purchased for $20.00 a month sling TV which allows me to view HGTV and HISTORY CHANNELL.

Got rid of cable and bought the Amazon Fire stick tv with the voice remote. Basically plug and play. Register and then start watching you favorite streaming shows using the available apps. Not much a fan of the voice remote feature. Save a few bucks and get the less expensive model without the voice remote.

Too many great things to mention about this cool device,too many things you can do with the stick,tried other brands and similar products but this is it,totally customizable,totally compatible with most platforms,devices and apps,makes our family times soo much fun,we love it!

I'm an Amazon Prime member, and my TV and DVD player did not have the functionality for Amazon Prime (they had NetFlix, Hulu, Youtube, etc) this was the perfect solution! My TV and DVD player work fine, and I didn't want to replace them, simply to watch Amazon Prime shows on them.

Love the fire stick. Lots of options for shows to watch. We got it for our bedroom because we loved the fire tv. It would be great if they could sync with each other so you don't have to go through the whole process of re-downloading all of the apps and activating channels. Otherwise it's awesome.

It works as advertised, but can't replace the ease or convenience of cable, satellite, or simply over-the-air broadcast TV. Since it is wifi and app based, you can't just instantly change channels. Also, it's a little cumbersome switching between apps, or even between programming within the same app. (For example, going between news channels and sports channels within Sling requires 2 to 4 steps.) Further, you won't have the convenience of recording to watch later, or of pausing/rewinding, as you have with most providers. For limited TV watching, it's adequate. And I suppose we could all do with a little less TV! My experience is that this is a decent device, but don't expect it to really replace cable or satellite. Of course, for what you're paying, you can definitely get more than your money's worth!

I have enjoyed this stick so much!! I have cancelled my satellite & use this to watch all my fave shows !! I also got a great deal by buying fromBedt Buy because they just so happened to be on sale the day I went in to buy one which is always a pleasant surprise!!

The Firestick in and of itself is a great and very compact media streaming device. This one has a voice search and unfortunately it will only search for items to be purchased, other than that I don't have any negative comments.

I have been ripping my movies to MP4 format for a couple years. I have been looking for a product that took the movies and presented them in a perfect manor. I used the Amazon Fire Stick and Plex. I WAS BLOWN AWAY with the results! Buy it. You will be very happy.
