My only complaint: The rear surface is very smooth and slippery - A texured coating would relieve the problem -

Good to read ONLY. But I really need a device that has the ability to run Logos software. I guess only a full tablet with Windows will do. I bought their best reader in hopes I could do more, but it is not the case. It also still freezes too often for me. Slow to respond, and I don't even have a large library.

I love my Oasis Kindle. I’m having trouble deleting books I have read, any help

THIS DEVICE HAS ADS BUILT IN. It is unfortunate that BestBuy does not make any distinction on this listing stating that there are built in ads on this device, it costs $20 to remove them.

Does it really have to be this slow in this day and age?

I HATE the texture. Wish it was wrapped in cloth or something. Official case feels good on back but the front buttons and surrounding area feels WEIRD

It is ok but not that user friendly. I always have trouble shutting it down. My earlier version is easier.

I’ve had the kindle oasis for 3 years now, and let me just say, it has reinvigorated my reading schedule. I had a particular issue with reading…. I love to read, but I hate clutter. I also like the tactile feel of turning pages. In comes the oasis, which by my standards scratches those itches and then some. I have read 56 books since I bought this kindle November 2020. That may not seem like a lot for a person in 3 years, but for me, it is a record. I have surpassed my record this year for most in a year and I’m currently on book # 18. I attribute this to the fact that I used to LOVE to read when I was younger but as I get older and more minimalist, I can’t stand buying physical items that I then use once or twice and have to store and take up valuable space in my home. I can also now read more comfortably at night due to the warm light setting this thing has. My only drawback, and it is ever so slight, is that the auto backlight adjustment seems to be always going haywire. I tend to just keep it turned off because otherwise it ends up adjusting every 15 seconds or so and it will be gradual, independent of the consistency of lighting in the room you are in. Very strange, but a small price to pay for the other check marks this thing ticks for me. Overall, I am hooked on this thing and I feel young again reading through so many books. The tactile buttons were the selling point for me, but now that I realize there is so much to like on the device, I would replace this thing with the same if I ended up losing it or something. Definitely worth it

I cannot get promised internet access for a few last months!!!!! . I must be able to read ANY international libraries,not only Kindle books! And talking to a whole team in Mountain View,CA I was assure I will be able to do that. Also,I cannot reach anyone from Amazon,all the e-addresses are cancelled. I had a problem with the internet a couple of times already but they could help me. Now no one answers. I cannot call them since I am currently abroad but I still want to use 2 Kindle books,it cost me almost $700 for both!!! now I just have two devices I cannot use for ANYTHING.

Glitchy performance. Poor interface. Wanted something simple w/out internet and app distractions for a kid - not worth the money.

Could not get used to the black and white screen. Have been an Android tablet user and missed the color screen. Also miss the apps and versatility of a tablet.
