The kindle paperwhite is as easy as reading a book, without the wait or losing your page. It is clear in the day and as bright as I need at night.

Kindle paper white is a fantastic e-reader. It has great contrast, is easy on the eyes, and the backlight is just right for reading in darker environments.

I upgraded from a standard Kindle and I will never go back. Having the backlight is incredible, and it doesn't diminish the e-ink concept at all.

The built in light is such an improvement over the Kindle where you had touse an attached light, and you can read very good in bright sunlight

Purchased as a gift, because I already have one and enjoy the convenience of carrying a kindle and not a bunch of books. Great battery life

I was using another brand, from another vendor. Problematic. Continuation of reading erratic. When I began to attempt to read where I left off last, unit would take me back to random page or completely start the book over. Went through 2 readers, and both were faulty and very frustrating. The last stopped taking a charge. I read very good reviews of the Kindle. Pitched the other two (and they weren't cheap). The Kindle holds a charge for weeks not days and selection and price are light years ahead of the other service. Recommended to a friend and she loves it.

If you like to read this is the device to use. Processing time is not as fast as a tablet, but lighting is great for reading. Totally worth it

I had one of the older kindles but decided to buy this one because you can read in the dark. What a great decision!!! Recommend to anyone that enjoys reading.

A great device for readers that don't want clutter. Easy on the eyes with an adjustable back light and no glare whatsoever outside, even in direct sunlight.

This is my 2nd kindle. My first one went swimming (they arent waterproof) but LOVE LOVE the paperwhite. I am able to read while my wife sleeps.

Had one of the original kindles and was no longer able to update it. Purchased the paperwhite and it is wonderful. Very pleased with the purchase.
