This device is amazing and my first one, I bought this for myself and have been enjoying it since 3 years, just amazing

I love the kindle reader. It is great when traveling to have books to read without having to carry around multiple books. Also very easy to read outside

Being an avid reader the kindle is a great buy. Was a bit apprehensive on making a purchase, but enjoy it.

My Kindle was very very old. Had a cover with a light and had to pull it up. New Kindle is great. Lighter and has a backlight. Love it.

My wife loves it I love wife enjoys reading and reading and she wants to be able to read it where we should go since Alex a battery life

Comments on Kindle Paperwhite 1) Basic functioning of page forward & back - excellent 2) Footnote action often led to loosing place. It was easy to accidentally press a footnote when doing normal forward or back. Pressing the top right “x” sometimes returned to text, but often was dead - requiring selecting “Go To Footnotes”. Picking the correct < footnote returned to correct position - but too easy to accidentally press a different footnote - send me off to wrong text position. While doing things right raises no problems - it is to easy to get in trouble. Enabling the “x” at all times would be safer. 3) Occasionally a small print message such as “91 highlighters” would appear between the lines. Supposed to show where other kindle users highlighted text. Does not highlight any text.

This was a gift. The recipient has informed me that it is a big improvement over her other Kindle. Lightweight, great contrast and easy to use

I have had a Kindle since they first came out. This is my 4th one and they just keep getting better. Reads great in daylight, night time, whenever.

I highly recommend the Kindle Paperwhite. It's the perfect size for traveling and carrying along on outings.

This Kindle Reader is great! Easy on the eyes for reading and downloading “free” books from the local library or from Amazon is a snap!

Perfect gift for my wife and I use it too! It's so easy on the eyes. It's like reading paper but the luxury of technology. Will be getting one for me soon!

I really like how it light up from behind, which allows me to read it in the bright light and in the dark.

The Kindle paperwhite is an excellent reader. The contrast is easy on the and the size is nice and compact, making it easy to take on the go.

Wanted a kindle without all of the extra stuff that my fire has this is perfect. Doesn’t strain my eyes. Mostly use when traveling.

This is so much better than trying to read on my phone. My eyes and head don't hurt from reading on the kindle like they would on my phone. Great product.

It was a Mother's Day gift my wife loved it she took it on vacation with her and could read it in the direct sunlight on the beach or by the pool

So glad to no longer be lugging around multiple books on extended travels. I can read my kindle and still feel like I am "unplugging!"

This is my second Kindle Paperwhite. I lost my first one at the airport in India and wanted to replace it as soon as I got back. Best Buy was having a sale on it, so it was a no-brainer. The Paperwhite interfaces with the lost one, so I have all the books I had loaded onto that one and I've bought more since. This is a must for travel: you can carry a library in your left hand. The text is clear, clean, and crisp, with no distortion or glare. The downside is that the photographs (in those books that have them) aren't as clear.

This is my second Kindel. My first one was a Kindel fire. I liked it and I love to read so I thought I would give this one a try. I love this one more!!
