I bought the Paperwhite for my husband this past Christmas. (He had been hinting around about it for a couple months.) It did not disappoint! It was his favorite gift by far. The built-in backlight makes all the difference. His love of reading is sparked once again! Thanks Kindle!

Kindle e reader is a wonderful device. I like the inbuilt light. It does not hurt eyes and it does not have side effects (headache or hang over in the morning) if used in the night unlike tabs.

I purchased this Kindle at my local Best Buy in 2018 and I can say it still works like new. Battery is still great. Of course I take care of it. I take it everywhere like work or vacation or anywhere I travel. I love my little kindle. I'm amazed on how well its kept up after 2 years. Definitely recommend.

The best bang for your buck e-reader. Top notch screen and battery life

I have bought this kindle for almost one month, and almost use it every night. It's comfortable for your eyes. I like it.

Bought for my wife as Christmas present. She has early version of Kindle. She likes how little it weighs, and doesn't need a cover with separate light. She also likes swiping to turn pages rather than pushing a button. It is easy to read and has adjustable fonts. Only negative is after downloading a book, she has to search for it, rather than it automatically appearing on list of books.

Clarity is excellent. Easy breezy to use. Charges quickly and lasts a long time

I upgraded to this from the original paperwhite. I love how the screen simulates an actual page of a book. This version is smaller since it has a digital keyboard instead of a built in keyboard pad. The addition of the back lighting is awesome as well. My old kindle had a case with a built-in light that ran off of kindle power which was necessary but cumbersome.

I had been waffling recently on whether to upgrade my first gen paperwhite to the newer one. I'm glad I finally did. The resolution is much better than my old one.

The Kindle Paperwhite has many improvements over my first Kindle with a lighted touch screen, wifi, and ability to swipe to turn the page. I love it!

Bought to replace an earlier model that was starting to wear down. Price better then Amazon! I hardly ever buy books - just get loans from library.
