I bought this for a relative who lives in another country. He requested this specifically. He was thrilled to receive it.

I can't live without the kindle paper white. It changed my reading habit. And the kindle getting better and better. Highly recommended.

This is my first electronic reader and I am very pleased with it! It’s really nice and bright even in direct sunlight. The battery lasts really long too! I wasn’t really into reading a lot, but since I got the Paperwhite, I’ve been reading on a regular basis. I’m satisfied with it and I’m glad I went with the Paperwhite!

This item is awesome, I like the e-ink screen like a real book. I even store many book in just one device. Easy use also.

I love the way my new Kindle Paperwhite operates. It is very readable, and it is also easy to adjust to my preferences. My Amazon account recognized the new Kindle without any problems. The only thing I would change is the way it lists items in my library. I would prefer to see more than three library items shown on the opening page. Sometimes I have trouble remembering the subject of each book by title alone. I wish a two or three sentence summary of each book would accompany book title and cover. In general, however, I am pleased with this Kindle.

I had resisted a kindle for years and finally gave in for travel. Yes, I am one of "those" who love books! Surprisingly, I really like the paper white kindle. It is easy to read & works well in most lighting situations. There are two things that keep me from loving it. 1) I really wish it had the option of reading the book out loud. 2) I thought it would be a lot cheaper to get books for the kindle. It may be a little cheaper but not a lot. You would think that without the cost of paper, etc, that savings would be passed on to the customer. Since they don't, I tuck it away until I travel.

If you had an old kindle this one is a huge upgrade. The touchscreen, backlight, and clear text make this feel more like a modern device. The form factor is great, and the third party market has amazing case options. I recommend this over the regular Kindle or any of the more expensive ones- this one is the sweet spot.

Small but meaningful software improvements and a screen as good as the Voyager make this hands down the best value in the Kindle line.

I had one of the first Kindles that came out and really liked it. It was stolen so that gave me the opportunity to get the newest version, the Paperwhite. I really like this one more than the other one since now I do not have to keep a light on and still be able to read.
