Very light and easy to use. Love the built-in feature that difficult words can be marked with brief explanation. Makes reading experience much more enjoyable and no need to constantly looking up unknown words.

I've been using my tablet or phone to read at night and they are kinda cumbersome. This Kindle solves my problem! Light, fits in my hand easily. Holds charge for quite some time. And the background is genius!

Light weight, easy to use and stays charged much longer than my previous one. Paper white is easier to read in low light too.

I bought this a month or so ago for reading eBooks when camping and vacationing as an alternative to my Kindle Fire HDX. The Paperwhite is smaller and lighter, and I can see the text clearly in full sun, so it met my needs. I wish I could find a left-handed cover for it, though - the right-handed one I bought is fine, but it blocks how I would like to hold the device. That is not a fault of the device, but a caution to anyone with similar preferences as me when considering a purchase. As for the Paperwhite, it took a little getting used to - I had to unlearn some of my Kindle habits when learning to use it - but it is similar and it sure is nice being able to "take a pile of books" with me on a camping trip or on vacation and be able to read anywhere, indoors or out! I'm happy with my purchase.

The paperwhite is wonderful. The functionality is great, battery life is awesome, and is so much better than trying to read a book on my phone. Recommend to anyone who loves to read, especially at night. Very easy on the eyes.

The Kindle Paperwhite is compact, yet big enough to feel book sized. The natural bridge screen is quite easy on your eyes and is visible in any light - quite an accomplishment! The battery charge lasts a long time so you don't feel in danger of the Paperwhite going dead on you. When I went to Guatemala, I was even able to find a browser that allowed me to get a message back home on my email using the Paperwhite! I got this one for my wife. If you like to read, I think you would enjoy this little gem.

I read on this everyday. I love how lightweight it is, easy to hold. I have had a kindle forever and I must say I love having the backlight, I dont have to reach over and turn off the lamp in bed now. :)

After struggling to read books for the last several years, my husband suggested getting an e-reader. I never wanted one, because I previously enjoyed the feel of a real book in my hands. He was pretty convincing, so I went online and researched a few different ones. I settled on this one, after reading so many great reviews. I wanted the Voyage initially, just because it had page turn buttons, but I opted to save some money, and the page turning with the touch screen is incredible, I don't think I'd use the buttons, even if I had them. I am already halfway through my first book, and I've had this less than 24 hours. I'm a very slow reader, so this is impressive! I tried it in the sun, and it was extremely easy to read- no glare. I also used it while working out today- it's very easy to adjust the font to make it easier to read. I am so in love with this, and am so happy we bought it! I am excited to get back into reading, and to have thousands of books at my fingertips!

Couldn't wait for my son to open his Kindle Paperwhite. for Christmas. He was thrilled to get it. But, powering it up he found out it was lighter, more versatile and enjoyable to use. One of the best.gifts I've given.

Finally decided to upgrade from a Kindle 3 to the 2nd generation Kindle Paperwhite. Still hardly have to charge this thing and the back light is really nice for reading at night and is always the perfect brightness.

It's great to read in any kind of light. There is a tiny bit of bleeding at the top edge but nothing noticeable unless you are actively looking for inperfections. Makes reading easy and accessible in a light for factor.

I received my new Kinkle Paperwhite! I'm an avid reader at night - sometimes well into the early morning hours. This Kindle is the best - so lightweight and you can adjust the light in the background...best of all, the print adjusts to your choice of size and style and after reading for many hours, it's great to know I can make the type larger. So lightweight you never even realize you are holding it. Love, Love, Love it. Oh, and it is very, very easy to set up.

This has quickly became one of my favorite devices. It's lightweight, ergonomic, and great battery life. It's also quite durable. I've dropped mine several times and there's is not a scratch on it. I was worried about the 4gb of storage but I have over 900 books on mine and they have taken less than a gigabyte. The screen looks great, like a real book (I actually like in more because the letters pop more in the sunlight). I do not like the back light that much because it strains my eyes a little but I can't take off points for an added feature. Still a 5 out of 5 for me because I'm not normally a reader but I struggle to put this down sometimes. If you're comparing this to the Voyage, I spent a lot of time comparing these trying to see what the extra $80 ($120 for me, I bought mine on sale for $79) was for. From my chats with Amazon's customer service reps, the Voyager just makes it easier for one handed reading for both right and left handed people because it has forward and back touch sensors on both sides. It also has a more even back-light. If you're comparing to the base model, the only difference is that this one has a backlight and that one doesn't. So if you do not expect to be reading in the dark, save yourself $40.

I bought this electronic reader because I was tired of the glare I got from reading on my iPad in the sun. It's perfect! Very light and easy for travel, and the screen actually looks like the page of a book.

I bought my wife a Paperwhite a couple of years ago while I did much of my reading on my iPad. She loved the Paperwhite and I didn't know what I was missing out on. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPad, it's just that it wasn't designed to be only a reader. Now that I have a Paperwhite of my own, reading has become even more enjoyable than it was on my iPad, and I can't think of one negative thing to say about my purchase.

My old Kindle was broken, so I received the Paper white for a Christmas gift. I love it! It is small and light enough to carry anywhere, and I love that I can adjust the back light to accommodate day or dark.

I've previously owned a Nook and Ipad. This eReader is by far the best. The instant dictionary is a plus. Excellent for reading in bright or low light conditions. Easy out of the box set up. No complaints!

Awesome battery life and readability in bright sunlight. Screen size and weight is just right to hold it in one hand.

I have had 4 other e Readers prior to this one. This one is BY FAR my favorite. It is so easy to use, it is super light, and makes a book worm like me able to read with no effort at all!

Love this e-reader! Lightweight, easy to read screen even in very bright conditions. Very easy to check out and return library books without ever going to the library. Would recommend this product to anyone
