This is my 4th Kindle. I also have the Voyage, but I prefer the Paperwhite. I don’t really like the side press on the Voyage. I much prefer to swipe. I like that the Paperwhite is a little thicker. It’s more like holding a book. It’s my go to Kindle.

My husband purchased this for me for Christmas. I was only reading paperback books because the screen hurt my eyes. This device is so easy to read on and I can adjust the backlight to my liking. I absolutely love this kindle.

This kindle is great for reading books. Which is exactly what it's designed for. Very crisp text in bright daylight or complete darkness. It feels good in your hands (weight is balance, it doesn't feel flimsy either). Quick page transitions when reading. Don't expect it to compete with tablets in the app or visuals departments, because that's not what it's meant to be used for. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the touch screen tends to be a little picky at times.

I bought this Paperwhite for my wife, she likes to read at night and this has a backlight so you can read in the dark. I can't keep up with the number of books she has read on this Kindle. If you like to read at night, this is what you need.

I need very enlarged print on everything I read, so this is good for books with its long battery life. The Fire reads a larger variety of things for me but its battery time is only about 8 hours, sometimes, less, so for a book this is really good.

This is my third Kindle - they just keep getting better.

I absolutely love my Kindle. It really makes reading on the beach a pleasure. I recently got a book, and was reading on the beach and it was kind of annoying with the page is flipping in the wind. I will never buy another book!

I'm still enjoying the ease of use of my Kindle Paperwhite. It was just as I hoped it would be for a eReader only device. I have a Samsung Notebook also but prefer the compact, lightweight, straightforward use of Paperwhite.

The Kindle Paperwhite is a great reader. You can adjust the font and brightness for your reading pleasure. Another nice feature is the ability to skip or jump pages with ease. A really nice device at an affordable price. Happy to have purchased.

This is my second paperwhite kindle & I can't imagine not having one with me all the time.

I "upgraded" from my Kindle Fire to the Paperwhite! I couldn't be happier with my decision.

My Kindle is a great addition to my Kindle 'family' . I now have two that I use and enjoy.

Love paper books but feel in love with the convenience of this for traveling

It's certainly better than the original kindle. The touchscreen is hard to get used to and it's easy to accidentally forward through several pages or chapters if you fall asleep with your finger on the screen. It is also difficult to look a word up in the dictionary if it's at the top of the screen because highlighting it brings the home screen. It is better viewing in light and because it has it's own light is much more convenient is the dark.

Great for reading! Love that I can read in the dark without hurting my eyes.

Purchased for my wife for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. Can take it outside and is already looking forward to camping trips with it. The battery was charged on Christmas Day and is still going on the original charge (It's now mid-February).

I was afraid that having an electronic book would take away from the feeling of "unplugging." However, this was not the case. This kindle really looks like a book page. It is much lighter than a book and i can take it anywhere. Love love love this product!
