The Kindle Paperwhite does one thing and does it incredibly well. It's a great way to read books. The screen is wonderful in bright light and the backlight's great for reading in bed without disturbing your partner. If you're a reader, this is a no-brainer.

I've read three books in less than a month! Before, I had a problem with getting tired while reading and my eyes hurt from the book light I had to use; but with the back light on the paper white I can adjust it perfectly to my liking! I love it!

For the price this thing cannot be beat. It does more than expected, very pleased.

If you keep in mind that this is primarily a reader and not a tablet with internet browsing capabilities, then you will not be disappointed. Battery last for days even when in use.

It took me a while to break down and finally buy a digital book, I'm a big fan of paper books. I love the Kindle so far! I wanted an eReader that I could only read books on, no apps or games, that's what my phone is for, and so far I am very happy :)

Had this device for years. Worked and continues to work as well as I hoped. After all these years and using the latest Kindle devices (Oasis) it does feel a little slower but again this was close to the same price. Worked well enough I’m considering getting the latest Paperwhite. In another interesting color.

Got this as a gift for my wife after she just about wore out her old Kindle. She only wants it to read so it didn't make sense to get the other versions. This one does exactly what she wants and she can use it to read anywhere, indoors or outside.

Great image quality, fast device. Jumped to this from Nook and would never go back.

bought it when its on sale. feel like using ipad is more comfortable.
