Simple but effective device

Was not sure Scribe is right for me since other product can perform much more functions. After using Scribe for awhile, I am happy to say that I enjoy the device. It is a joy to read on the high resolution screen. The send to kindle function is handy. Writing on the Scribe is also enjoyable. But the software for notetaking can be further improved. Hopefully future updates will make it possible to search hand written notes

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure you can compare this to e-readers that are full Android tablets with the Google Play store, but I've used a few of those and the Kindle scribe is by far the most user friendly. And has an amazing screen with an amazing refresh rate. For note taking and doodling it is absolutely the best. But if you want to get into some high-end sketching, or use third party apps look elsewhere. I still highly recommend it. Especially since Amazon seems to be continuing to update the scribe with new features almost every other month.

It’s way too big to hold comfortably while reading. I mainly for this device for annotating which even with the sticky notes would have been fine but it was super awkward to hold. I gave it 4 stars because these were all preferences.

Great notetaker!

It lacks some functionality when connecting with other devices, but I bought this with the intention of using less paper when taking notes and it has absolutely taken care of that. Highly recommend. The reading experience is nice too if you don't mind the large device.
