Budget Nest, does what you need it to

The Amazon Alexa app is fine, but the Nest app is better. The actual thermostat looks nice. Overall it's fine, especially at a fraction of the price of the Nest, but you're definitely losing out on the slick Nest look and feel.

Looks nice, but didn't work well for me

It worked for about a couple of weeks, then my AC started rapid cycling. I gave up and installed my old one. My AC hasn't been the same since... it might have messed up the compressor. I have an HVAC person coming to look at it next week. It only displays the current temp, not the temp that it's set to adjust to unless you look at the app or click the arrows. The app might be good if you have a lot of devices but is overkill if you just have this one. The wiring holes/catches seem flimsy. It looks nice and has wifi and an app for remote monitoring and scheduling, but that's about all I can give it praise for
