AMD has finally managed to beat Intel in both value and performance. This CPU has 6 cores and 3.8 GHz clock speed for only $250. What more could you ask for, great for virtualization, coding, gaming and everything you could throw at it.

    Best Gaming Chip for 2019

This chip is a beast! Was able to snag mine from 'AMD authorized reseller'. Came in 1 day when it was estimated to take 3. This thing blows everything out of the water at this price point. On par with the intel 9700k in gaming for $70 less, and better than the $489 i9 9900k in productivity and multitasking. First time buying an AMD chip but with their recent innovations its hard to justify buying Intel.

    Best Bang-for-your-buck CPU

The Ryzen 5 3600X is just as easy to install then any other AMD processor. The box includes the processor, a sticker, and the Wraith cooler with thermal paste pre-applied. I came from using a Ryzen 3 2200G and a GTX 1060 6GB, my framerates instantly doubled. Let it be known that with the stock cooler, the CPU runs hot*, thus leading to louder fans. *60C average; the maximum temperature is 95C. 4/5; stock settings runs loud, other than that, it's perfect.

Great budget CPU - Not meant to overclock

if you are looking for the best bang for your buck CPU on any budget to mid pc build look no further than the Ryzen 5 3600! The 3600x is basically the same as the regular 3600 but costs $50 more due to its higher out-of-factory clockspeed and better stock cooler. Only reason to buy the x over the 3600 is if you are not looking to overclock at all. If you are planning on overclocking and playing around with your cpu power, SAVE SOME MONEY AND BUY A 3600 INSTEAD.

Amazing cpu the performance that you get for the money is unmatched comparing to intel the speed of 8700k and 9700 for way less money and that’s at stock for stock. This cpu has a lot of headroom for overclocking easily hit 4.6 on all cores with h100i.

The 3600 was the best gamer for the price until they dropped the price on this that it was withing $20 of 3600. Just look at the benchmarks. In most games this beats the 3700X except in massive RTS games that use all the cores. The Heatsink that comes with it is good enough. But, I got tired of listening to it speeding up and down. Put 212 Evo on it.

I had always been an Intel guy but I gotta give it to this little guy... love it, no need for OC as this thing already comes pretty much at its max from the factory. Cooler is pretty quiet for my (my rig is on the desk next to me). I only wished the fan had a bit of RGB...

did a new build from scratch and decided to go with AMD this time around. I do 3D/cgi/art work and the 3rd gen Ryzen are supposed to be better at it than the second gen, plus I do some gaming. So far its been amazing. Not really a complaint, but given the amount of money I ended up putting into my new rig, I probably would have popped the extra hundred and got the R7 3600x. 8 cores and a lower wattage would have been worth it.

the cpu is very nice, it’s a good jump from the 3600. the cooler is optimal and i’m glad i didn’t spend extra on one. If you are reading this, you should appreciate Amd stock coolers more.

Amazing CPU but there are better choices like the 3700x for optimized Multi tasking but this is AMAZING for gaming can easily run AAA titles at 144fps at 1080p

Ideal entry or mid level processor for gaming or productivity. If you can find it around the $200 price mark, definitely pick this one up over the R5 3600 or intel i5 9600k.

Great processor for the money when you take into account the 10% birthday discount through BB. It's easy to go up to the 3600X at 224.99 when the 3600 is either out of stock or priced at 209.99 instead of the normal 199.99. AMD is rocking it at the moment with their performance, but some prices are out of whack. Keep an eye out on sales otherwise go for the 3600 non-x or see what Intel has from their 10th Gen as you can get a 8-core from them for relatively cheap comparatively speaking.

Got lucky with my chip as I hit the silicon lottery. Boosts to 4.4 ghz single core and 4.2 ghz all core. Matches my 3900x through six cores. 3600/3600x are the ideal cpu for most builds as it crushes games and desktop use with ease.

Decided against Intel for once as I couldn't justify the price for the comparable Intel processor. More than enough for FS2020, Star Wars Squadrons, and anything else I can throw at it (of course those are mostly GPU based). Processing times for my MS Access databases are also dramatically quicker.

GREAT CPU. probably the best bang for your buck. Originally was going to get the ryzen 5 2600x but this was on sale for the same price and I'm glad I got it. Perfect mid end to high end cpu and works great with the 20 series graphics cards. I plan to get a 3060ti and will see how it runs

Bright, great colors, cheap, can you ask for more at this price? Well, the internet connection is a little slow but I just use it with Amazon fire stick. If used as a regular TV, I would have different considerations.
