One of Eastwood's best directed films. Bradley Cooper is a beast and captures the essence of a true American hero. The film's take on the struggles of a warrior balancing the desire to serve the nation, protect his fellow warriors and be a family man is well handled.

This movie is an excellent telling of Chris Kyle's story. Although it would be difficult to not be moved by the subject matter, Clint Eastwood has done justice to the direction of this film and Bradley Cooper delivered a skillful performance as this true American hero.

Great job by Bradley Cooper showing the conflict, both inner and outer, Chris Kyle experienced. Enough action and back story to make you care about the Troops I've in the sand box. The movie wasn't for or against war, it simply showed what our men and women go through.

Enjoy watching movies based on true experiences as in this movie about Navy zeal Chris Kyle directed by Clint Eastwood. War is hard on the entire family...not just the person serving their country and you get to see and experience this through this excellent movie.

I read the book two years before the DVD was available and it is a great story about a great American serviceman who we all owe a debt of gratitude for his sacrifices in helping to keep our American way of life and for trying to assure our safety and freedom at home.

My wife and I saw the film in the theaters. We were touched and I wanted to watch it again. A person misses many items, this way I can see another perspective. I enjoyed how you see the soldier point of the view of the film. This was told as it should have been told.

parts were hard to watch, due to the violence, but this is real life. And this is something that anyone who is related to or has friends in the Military MUST see this----a stark look into War and PTSD....we all need to see this .....

Excellent movie. Bradley Cooper gives a fine performance capturing the mindset of a soldier struggling between family and duty. Even though you already know how it's going to end, you can't help but root for him to overcome the odds and succeed. A definite must see!

This movie is perfect for the person that lives military movies, or those that want to show the younger generations why they should take pride in the military, and consider it as an option for their future. Chris Kyle is a true American Hero, and this movie was great.

As a daughter of a military man, this movie hit home. I felt like Mr. Eastwood brought a very realistic view of how each deployment affects our men. It was truthful, honest and hard to watch at times! It was well worth the 24.99 for the extras. Must have for everyone!

We saw this at the theater and I purchased this as a family Christmas gift. The movie and message was just as strong at home as it was in the theater. I am sure we will watch this over and over. God Bless our service men and women for what they do for all of us!

I don't normally purchase DVD's but "American Sniper" is an exception. It's about a true patriot, serving his country, trying to protect his fellow soldiers. The DVD has a lot of special features with behind the scenes stories of Chris Kyle and what made him tick.

American Sniper does a fantastic job portraying the life of a hero. Gives you a glimpse of some of the struggles our military face while deployed and the battles they continue to fight when arriving home. Bradley Cooper does a phenomenal job representing Chris Kyle.

The American Sniper was a great movie that I wanted to buy since I saw this movie at the theater. The scene where the baby was being held was not very realistic since it was a doll and not a real baby. The rest of the movie had a lot of action and seemed realistic.

While some folks think it is too crude or bad PR, it is what it is. It is a depiction of what it's like in the war and how you defend yourself. Snipers have been around for hundreds of years. It tells of the good, the bad, and the heartache that goes along with it.

This is an incredible movie, Masterful story-telling, beautifully filmed with a realistic gritty look in the war scenes and a fantastic audio track. It was also refreshing that there were no political snipes either way throughout. Now one of my all-time favorites.

I had to have this movie on blu ray for audio and video accuracy! Excellent movie portraying the true story of an American hero and how war effects the fragile human mind, and how our veterans deal with the after effects of war. I'd recommend this movie to anyone.

This video was all I thought it would be and more. Because its based on real life events it don't have a lot of twist and turn it's real life! It kept me engaged through the movie and the end ! Well watch it God Bless The USA! Every American should watch this ...

It was a great movie .He was a hero he didn't do anything wrong to be killed, he was helping another ex-solider .It made cry because he stayed alive all throw the wars he fought then he finally home with his family and he dies .He will always be a HERO in my eyes.

after I saw this movie I wanted to thank a veteran for his or her service for what they go through, this movie puts you on the edge of your seat, Bradley cooper did a great job, shows you what a sniper goes through to protect his squad, worth the time to watch....
