This is a compelling look into the life of a sniper. Chilling at times. Hard to imagine we need these individuals in our military forces, but they are a necessary component to getting the job done.

This is a great movie. Definitely made me so much more grateful for our military and all they do to ensure our freedoms. Also thankful for the families of those military who also sacrifice for us.

Its always tough to compare a movie to a book you also read. In most cases like this story, there was a lot more in the book which made it seem like they crunched too much of the story into the movie. If you haven't read the book you may not notice. That is really the only complaint though. The movie had great acting and special effects. I would definitely recommend the movie, maybe read the book AFTER watching the movie!

Movie is fantastic. The split stories of him at war and at home while battling the enemy and ptsd. Great movie the ending was fantastic when he had to walk thru the sandstorm in order to be saved.

Gives a super real depiction of what has been happening overseas with our military forces. Such a touching story, and a real emotional roller coaster. Your jaw will drop, and your eyes will water.

Thoughtful, provocative, honest. One of a handful of modern pictures about war and it's impact and effects on soldiers and their families, that is truly worth seeing. True story about a true hero.

Absolutely loved this movie and had to preorder. As a bonus you also recieve the digital copy to view before the actual movie release. I got this in the mail the same day it was released in store.

Yes, there is some heavy patriotism in here, so if that is not your thing then get out. Great acting by Bradley Cooper, and a fantastic story that was very well told. Good job to Clint Eastwood!

I read the book a few years ago and was excited (and somewhat skeptical) when I heard they were making a movie about Chris' experience. However, my skepticism was for naught! The movie was great!

While the movie is meant to entertain the story line sends an important message about the meaning of life. We should never forget the sacrifices our soldiers make and that anyone can be an enemy.

This is a great movie - was not aware of the whole story. Can't say enough thank you's to the men and women that are serving in our military to protect the freedoms we so often take for granted.

This movie took my husband way back from when he was active. This is a very emotional movie for the men and women who have served or still serving if they had been in the position of the sniper.

Wonderful Wonderful movie.Jaw dropping and eye opening. What a wonderful movie to put into perspective what struggles our military families go through and the sacrifices they give to our country.

What can I say. The story of a true modern day patriot whose life was cut way to short. Clint Eastwood did an outstanding job of directing and keeping this movie from becoming a Hollywood fiasco.

This movie has it all. Action, humor, love. But it is a difficult movie to watch for anyone who has ever been in combat. Be prepared. Love this film and will probably watch it many, many times.

This was not just a shot em up movie, but instead focused a lot on the mental struggles that one faces when in combat and also when returning home from war. Very well done and highly recommended.

American Sniper is by far the best film of 2014 and should be viewed by every American. The entire cast does a phenomenal job of bringing this amazing story to the big screen. This is a MUST see.

American Sniper is movie that is more about people than war. There is plenty of action in it, but the focus is on how everyone is affected by the situations they are in. Highest recommendation.

I thought this movie was powerful and by far Bradley Cooper's best performance yet; he's come a long ways from bumbling news reporter on Alias!
