Fantastic game bought at the beginning of pandemic. Definitely recommend for a time killer. Got a good 6 months of daily play fun out of it and probably would have played more but starting using time skips to complete collectibles.

If you've never played a game in the series, New Horizons is a great start. On the other hand, if you are already familiar with Animal Crossing, you will find a good amount of nostalgia but also pleasant little news, which will make this new adventure worthy of being lived day by day.

This is going to be my second Animal Crossing game. The amount of things they added in the game was unbelievable. I don’t want to state what it is, as it can spoil some gameplay to people. I would recommend this as during quarantine times, you have something to look forward the next day.

Bought this game for my wife. At first this game did not look interesting at all to me, but after seeing my wife play it for a while i fell in love with it. I dont even let her play anymore. Great game, lots of things to do, and having people to play with makes this game even better.

Game is cool basically building your own town & home

There's lots of fun things to do in the game and it's wonderful as a single player experience, but not so much if you have multiple kids. You can only create one island per Console. Each child cannot create their own island unless they have their own Switch and another copy of the game. Once an island is created all children share it, they don't start fresh with their own experience. With multiple players, one is always the leader, the others are limited in what they can do. e.g. The leader can enter buildings. Overall, great for just one player.

I was a bit skeptical about how fun this game would be, like what would you do after the initial "quest" is complete, but the constant updates and sub challenges make it a lot of fun even almost a year later. If you're considering buying it, just do it.

Very fun game for my girl friend. Good idea when us guys trying to hop on the call of duty!

I am a pretty avid gamer, but my fiance is not so much. She is a HUGE fan of Animal Crossing and this has been the only game we play nowadays. This game has really allowed us to chill out like we are right on the island! We also enjoy being on the same island and working on it together.

I bought a copy for my niece, and got addicted on her island, so I had to buy a copy for myself. It's such a chill and fun game, even for players who haven't played the previous Animal Crossing series. I recommend it to every one! I wish it was possible to have two islands on a console.

My daughter stays busy playing this game and thoroughly enjoys fishing and growing plants. The clock follows real time therefore the sun sets outside ,same happens in the game. Just watch out for the wasps in the trees...lol. Overall a very fun game providing hours entertainment!!

this is the Switch's (probably only) entry with the Animal Crossing series. it is a simulation that pushes the user to play daily until an "end" is reached. it is basically a grind from day one. some may feel this is not the game for them and it is fine. others may love it because of the serenity. no matter what, this entry is worth owning but many will drop out within 2 months. the main issue is the grind needed to get bells (money) to pay off this and obtain that. past AC games have this mechanic but to me, were more fun. this time around, it felt like a chore.

This is such an adorable and fun game! It was sold out everywhere so I was excited when BestBuy got some in! I placed my order and I was in my hands just a couple days later, talk about fast shipping! So glad I was able to get this game, I highly recommend it to everyone of all ages!

Amazing game with unlimited possibilities for play. New updates are coming out all the time. If you pair this with Nintendo Switch Online, you can visit your friends' islands or have them come to yours. A great way to stay connected while everyone is social distancing.

Very peaceful and creative. Although you are still in debt in this game so it makes it very realistic

Huge fan of the previous animal crossing games with the exception of home designer. This game has everything and just looks beautiful. Fish look so real. The only thing I didn’t like were the temporary tools and having to rebuild or buy another one but ive come around to understand it.

I have never own or played an animal crossing game but I heard good things about this game and I’m glad I pick this game up. It can get repetitive after a while but the amount of things you can collects and customized are endless. Overall a good fun game in short periods of time.

So I was supposed to receive this during release day, but it never got delivered to my address. Reached out to Best Buy and they immediately shipped out a replacement copy. They were quick to respond and accommodated for the carrier's mistake. Their help line's call back feature was super convenient as well. Instead of being put on hold for forever. They'll call you back when you're next in line. The game itself is great! If you're a fan of the previous Animal Crossing series then this will feel much more polished! Great getaway for the challenging times we're currently in

My daughter has been anxiously awaiting the release of Animal Crossing for Switch for a long time. She played multiple versions on her DS previously, and the new version was no disappointment. These games in general seem somewhat overpriced to me, but that seems to be standard.
