The Cutest Debt Simulator Ever
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing: New Horizons is basically a game where you move to a deserted island… and immediately get scammed by a raccoon in a sweater vest named Tom Nook. He gives you a tent, a smile, and a loan bigger than my car payment. The gameplay? Shake trees, catch fish, plant flowers, and apparently work full-time as an interior designer for animals who constantly judge your outfits. Pro tip: don’t shake too many trees unless you enjoy being jumped by wasps like it’s a gang initiation. Also, the fishing system is rigged. You’ll either catch an ancient rare shark worth half your mortgage, or yet another sea bass—because clearly the ocean only breeds one fish. Despite all that, it’s the most relaxing game I’ve ever played. I log on to “just play for 10 minutes,” and suddenly it’s 3AM, my house has a second floor, and I owe Tom Nook my firstborn. 10/10—would get stung by wasps again.

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots to do in the latest version. Love being able to set things up outside and actually build up the island. Although extremely disappointed in buying miles to travel and end up on the same island four times in a row. Not buying anymore until this part of the game is fixed. I've played all different times when traveling, but land on same tiny island with waterfall and nothing but the same fish and fruit on my island. Bass...pears. The characters are wonderful to interact with and I love the crafting. The graphics are great. Not disappointed in game at all just that one travel thing that's supposed to be random each time. Well worth having but beware of scalpers and ones on "A" pricing game and consoles at 600-700 claiming the consoles were discontinued. Talk about GOUGING.

Best Animal Crossing yet
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best one to date. You get to organize your island however you would like, including moving the buildings and landscaping where you would like. Adorable, looks great. Would recommend if you need a chill gaming experience.

A Great Update to a Nintendo Classic
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a must have! Practically unput-downable (good thing I have some time on my hands)! If you are familiar with the Animal Crossing storyline, New Horizons follows the same general formula with a few fresh twists. Took Nook is back at it again, only this time offering all inclusive vacations to an uncharted desert island in hopes of building a bustling tourist and residential hub. Plays in real time, morning noon and night. Enjoy the seasons. Experience the volatility of island weather. The graphics are beautiful and fun! You will simply get lost in island life as you work to build the best new home you can imagine, for hours at a time! Don’t think twice about it. This will be the best new purchase for your Switch, I guarantee it!

Beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every bit as charming as it is addictive. I have enjoyed this game massively during the pandemic. There is always so much to do, and the ease of online functionalities makes socializing with others a joy rather than a must chore. With so many possible neighbors to move in, events that add new aesthetics, building your island how you want and filling it with what you want will make you realize how much there is to do in this game. My one complaint is that a few of the old villagers didn't come back, and there are only 8 new villagers to meet, however if this is your first or maybe 2nd only entry into the series, they will all new to you, or a lot of them will be, so hopefully that won't be an issue for you.

Constant modifications
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game to unwind, relax and build. It has no fights and you only have to keep your temper and patience when hunting/fishing. You start with basic daily tasks and you slowly begin to build up your island with neighbors. It is a collectors paradise, be it clothing, bugs, fish, art, music, recipes, or fossils. Playing the game on different times through the day yield different options. They have seasonal things to do and it’s fun. You can modify your island into your pleasure or just concentrate on making it great. You can have visitors over or visit friend or other islands. Many things to do with this game, just choose your style of gameplay and go. :3

Superb
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing New Horizons is hands down the best in the series. The game has managed to build and polish above all of the previous titles in the series while also managing to be unique in its own way. The gameplay systems and loops are more rewarding then ever and continue to build at a nice piece (Non Time Traveler here). The photo mode really shows the overhaul of the design of items. It's been one week and I've logged 65 hours of game time, partly due to current events but time well spent. I would add that this game is not for everyone so I would watch/read a variety of views before diving in if you're on the fence. For those who have enjoyed previous titles I'd highly recommend this title.

Perfectly Relaxing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 1st AC game but it has been such an enjoyable experience all around. Its a game where you set up and help establish a small community on a deserted island. You get to meet and interact with different types of characters and help the island grow. I never thought that a game where you plant vegetation, fish, catch bugs, craft items, and decorate your home/island could be so enjoyable. Its a simple game but its very relaxing and fun to play. It can also be played with others via online/local coop so you can play with friends. Its definitely a great game to play while we're all stuck home and its me hooked. o yourself a favor and give the game a try, you'll end up enjoying it.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 14 Year old = It is a great game I would think it is a great game if I did not play previous versions in the series. I feel they demoted the villagers to after thoughts. Rather than a true aspect of the game. Afterthoughts= They don't give you task anymore. They are a way of getting items that you need rather than true interactions. My 9 year old Great!!!! The bike ought to be rideable not just furniture. Dad = They are a waste of time, way too expensive and allows them to escape the reality that life is more than games. It does not have sex or violence the only reason I purchase it for a birthday gift.

Interesting game
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm new to Animal Crossing and thought this game would be similar to Stardew Valley but it's really different. It's just as addictive as Stardew Valley as seasons change, so do resources and events. However, in Animal Crossing you have more creative liberties as you start out on an uninhabited island and have more control over who inhabits the island (villagers) and how the island looks like. Of course, the graphics are more nice in Animal Crossing New Horizon (ACNH) and you can visit friend's island via local play or via online play (if you have the Nintendo subscription service). I highly recommend Stardew Valley as well as it's just as fun and has different components to it.

Light and easy game
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a game you play a little (or a lot) each day. You complete tasks and earn money in order to build up and customize your island. Lots of bugs, fish, dino bones, clothing, items to collect. You do need to be patient in order to make progress since game time reflects actual time in real life. Trees grow over several days, projects finish the next day, etc. Great for people looking for casual, stress-free gameplay. Objectives don't change much day to day but you choose how you spend your time whether it's crafting, fishing, catching bugs, digging bones, customizing island. Sandbox game with hardly any consequences.

A fun, calming game for all ages
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been an Animal Crossing fan since the 1st one came out almost 20 years ago, and this one might be my favorite installment yet. The graphics are smooth and make everything look so cute. The gameplay retains enough of the original game to appeal to old players but has some new features that make it interesting. If it's your first foray into Animal Crossing don't worry about having to play any of the other games first, this is a standalone game and they teach you how to play in the beginning. I ordered it online from Best Buy and it arrived on time the next day. I can't recommend the game enough!

Best Family Game Ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have never played Animal Crossing, you have truly missed out on an amazing experience. As an adult, I sincerely enjoy this game, but when playing with my children, I absolutely love it. We have spent countless hours under a big blanket on the couch together traversing the ever-expanding world of Animal Crossing. Buy this game and give the gift of laughter and joy to your entire family.

Great way to pass some time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has been getting review bombed all over the internet by people who are unhappy with the one island per console and not per user feature. Sure that's not idea for families that share a console and want to create a personal island. But I believe the idea behind that is to get people to play together. Also The game starts slow as it follows a day cycle like our own so you cannot progress too quickly at one time. But that does leave you with more of a feeling of accomplishment throughout your play time. this game is fantastic and looks and runs beautifully. Endless room for creativity and originality.

Cute game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Physically, everything was great! The gamecard is functional and there was no damage to the container it came in either. So far, I absolutely love New Horizons! The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is smooth. The villagers are really interactive, which I thought was pretty cool. My only complaint is that the online play is really restrictive. You have to purchase the Nintendo online thing to visit other people's islands, send them letters, and become friends. Although I can, not everybody can afford the online service, and I feel that those people are missing out on a really cool part of the game :/

Family friendly real time game.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game! Family friendly. The only thing I don’t like is it is in real time. That means I’d an event is happening on Sunday at 7pm, you have to wait for that time and only that time to join.
