My first real entry into the series and I have to say that I'm glad I dipped my toes into the franchise. You can do as little or as much as you want in this game where you basically make up whatever objectives you want. There's a couple things the game wants you to do but ultimately you're left to do what you want for the most part. The latest edition to the series of games doesn't fail to deliver in my opinion, I can now see why so many people like these games. Reminds of the sims in many ways that I would play when I was younger!

It's unfortunate I didn't get this game on release date even if I bought it in advance because of the lockdowns. Anyway, I received it a couple of days after and I have been playing it on the daily ever since. This game has been my friend and probably the only thing I look forward to everyday (a bit of an exaggeration, but y'know). Been an AC villager since City Folk, got hooked on New Leaf, put a dent on my bank account (like actual money) with Pocket Camp, and so very thankful for New Horizons. AC for life, my mans.

I am a newcomer myself to the Animal Crossing series. This has been such an amazing experience during these trying times. I have yet to fully explore everything this game has to offer but I am excited nonetheless. Consider purchasing this game if you want a more relaxed approach to video games. There is always something to do, you will have to take this game one day at a time. No need to rush, the anticipation of finding new treasures is a wonderful experience. I hope you enjoy this beautifully crafted game and I bid you a farewell.

I've played animal crossing in my childhood on the DS so I was super excited to play this on the switch! I literally bought the switch to play this game and have been playing it every day since! It's super relaxing and I love being able to connect with my friends to play this. I get to visit all my favorite characters from the past and there are neat new additions like putting furniture on your island that makes it so much fun! Plus there are new holiday updates every so often so it never gets old!

This is one of my favorite switch games. I can literally spend hours playing it. I like being able to have the ability to have my island set up how I want it and also be able to have where I want trees and flowers. Also, being able to terraform and make my island different is also fun! If you do not own this game, you need to. Also, it’s fun to be able to play with friends on online play or if you have someone close by you that also has the game on the switch, you can play local play as well. It’s fun for the whole family!

Bought this for my grandson, he is loving all of the friends that come to visit your island. All of the fun things he shows me he can build brings joy to me. Even if you have never played the others in the past, being able to play with him and he can take me around to see all of his cool things make this a wonderful family game.

I've played the original Animal Crossing on the GameCube back in the day and probably lost over a full year of my life playing that one... Now this comes out and does everything right. They are always adding updates to the game to keep it interesting. There are times if you play ALL the time you may find yourself repeating a lot of tasks. My daughter loves it and has a really good time playing two player with me. Highly suggested if you enjoy simulator type games like SIMS, Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, Etc.

This game is super fun and relaxing! It’s nice because I can just play at my own pace and build up my island exactly how I want.

As with all of the previous games, easy to pick up and play and super addictive. If you’ve enjoyed the prior entries, this is a no brained.

This game is so fun , as expected. Quite different from the others, but most all of the same "animals". Will be entertaining for some time.

I haven’t played Animal Crossing since New Leaf, but I used to play that religiously as a child. While this one is definitely different, I still really love it! Building your own island from the ground up is pretty cool! And it was released at the best time to allow me to really go all in. Stay safe and socially distance!

I had never played animal crossing in the past I was familiar with the franchise but it never interested me. After seeing a lot of people posting stuff online I decided to get the game, I've been hooked. I actually had to buy two copies because my six year old stole my first copy. Each system get one island layout. You decide where you are going to build houses and stores. You have many opportunities to do tasks to get the in game currency to build up your island. It's a simple mindless game with hours upon hours of play time.

My wife loves it she’s always playing it w our son he also loves it. I never played it but they love it 10/10 they both have separate accounts too it’s good because my son actually likes it and this game stimulates his brain bc he has to read and carry out task in the game and helps him understand problems as well as problem solve

Played it over 150 hours. Almost had to quit because it was so addicting. Good thing, bad thing. Great graphics and lots to do.

Best Investment I've made. Whole family plays everyday. My only disappointment is that the game only allows one island per Switch.

This game is for anyone who just wants to wind down, sit back, and have a relaxing time playing games without explosions and shooting and what not. You simply start on a deserted island with some other villagers, and you work your way up to building your own desired civilization. The customization options are endless, and the feeling you get when you accomplish an in game goal is what makes the game great. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a fun laid back game.
