If you wished for more customization and control of your towns then you'll love the island they give you to make your own. It takes a few real life days of play in order to unlock all the customization options, but after that you can really make your island town look exactly how you want it to be. The collectible aspect of bugs, clothes etc. is still there, but the full customization you're allowed is what makes with one the best yet IMO.

I got this game right during the COVID-19 locked down. Super addictive. Sold out everywhere. Let me tell you this, I can not wait the next day and play naturally so I have to skip the day and play the game faster. So yes, I cheated so that I can enjoy the game faster. I love this game and you will love this game. I am 27 years old and a little child and up can play Animal Crossing. This game is a great game to kill time.

This game is a really great addition to the series but there are a few things that could be improved. Multiplayer is lacking in activities compared to Animal Crossing New Leaf and crafting multiples of the same item (fish bait) can be tedious because you have to do one at a time. If they improved multiplayer and added an option to craft multiple items at once I would have no complaints. Overall this game was definitely worth the purchase!

The pandemic will forever give this game a sense of nostalgia, so I hope it never dies. It helped many people including myself get through a very difficult time! The opportunities for creativity are endless, proving not every game needs linear storytelling or conflict.

Fun the whole family can enjoy. Great Animal Crossing adaptation that will fill the hours of the day.

I haven't played AC since the original one for gamecube but man I've had a blast with this every day. It's definitely a slow burn game where I only play 30 min to an hour each day to do my daily activities and then I'm done for the day. It's really charming and simple and in game events and holidays are really fun to participate in. I highly recommend for kids or people who just like simple daily sim games.

This game has kept me sane during many, many hours of staying at home to social distance during the Coronavirus pandemic. How many hours? Somewhere around 250 so far. My biggest complaint is that I wish there were a more interactive multiplayer component so you could, for instance, play pool with a friend if you bought a pool table in-game. Still, overall it's hard to argue with a game that has given me that much play time.

I bought this game so that me and my little sister could play along with our friends, and to escape everything happening in the world for a bit. It definitely keeps us busy, and the ability to work together on the same island and leave each other presents and messages in the mail, as well as work together to design our island is honestly the best fun. I absolutely recommend this game to anyone who is thinking about purchasing it.

I'm not a video game person. Honestly the last game I played was on a gameboy back when I was in the 1st grade. The games now kind of stress me out with all the shooting and punching and constant pop out scares, but this game is different. It's relaxing and fun and super addicting. I've played every day for at least an hour since I got it. Not to mention everything is absolutely adorable. I don't know anyone who wouldn't like this game.

I have never played an Animal Crossing game before and I can’t believe I’ve missed out for so long. I can’t put it down. If you would have told me before March 20th that I would spend evenings on a virtual island with other players while watching a meteor shower, I would have laughed until I passed out. Now, while I’m at work I can’t wait to get back to my island. You deserve something nice. This is that nice thing. Treat yourself.

Best switch game to buy you can play this game for a long time and never get bored ton of content too

I was never interested in Animal Crossing. I thought it looked silly, and I hated the art style. So I had never given it a shot. My wife loved Wild World for the DS, and so we pre-ordered it for her. I watched her play for 15 minutes and decided to give it a shot. Now I've put like 300 hours into the dang game. Don't buy it unless you're prepared to sink a ton of time into it. Do buy it if you want to have a lot of fun! :)

I’m not sure who was more excited for this release: me or my 7 year old! The gameplay here is pretty straight forward. You’re on an island, and it’s your job to build and populate it how you see fit. The level of detail and the amount of things that you can do is pretty staggering. And it’s all done with a level or adorable that is infectious, which given the times we find ourselves, is a much needed distraction.

Bought this for someone who can’t get enough of this game now that they have it. I’ve been told they are much more relaxed even after just 20 minutes of playing. I’m certainly not a medical professional but if it helps them with their stress and anxiety… it was well worth the purchase.

Have already put in over 250 hours into this game. Worth every penny and is VERY addicting.

I love this game really entertaining! It is way different than the pocket camp app way more to do!
