At first I was extremely upset that this game was getting pushed back for a Spring 2020 release, but now that I'm trapped at home all day everyday for the Shelter-In-Place, I couldn't be happier that it released when it did. Think of it as a mini-life simulator without death, taxes, or politicians. It's an incredibly relaxing escape from everything going on right now.

This game has seriously saved me so many nights being bored. Also has made my sleep pattern an issue. I used to play AC on GameCube and later on the DS. So happy it finally came out for the switch. Note: if you have children make sure you buy them their own switch and copy. It’s one island per console. My son wreaked havoc on my island until I got him his own.

Christmas gift was a success. My wife is obsess with the game.

Very fun game my kiddo plays it all the time fun for everyone.

First be warned that this game can become addicting!! It is a blast to play and can teach kids a few things about animals and even money management. My elderly mother even loves playing! The only downside is that you can only have one island per console, but I guess that’s a smart marketing tool so people buy more consoles, which I did! Overall a wonderful buy!

My kid is having so much fun with this game. It’s a cute game.

My son loves Animal Crossing and played the last two games a ton. Once I opened the game after it came in, he’s been playing it at a steady clip. He says it was worth the wait (pre-ordered this well over a year ago back when we pre-ordered fire emblem). Another must have for all Switch owners!

I was a little fearful to purchase this game, considering, everything was being lockdown, money was tight, and I didn't know if I would have more coming in. So did I need this? By all means no, but if you are a fan if this series, you know that this game basically allowed you to live life abeit virtually, and during these months of staying in, it was well worth it.

I love games like this as I am not a big "gamer" and do not enjoy shooting games (I am terrible at them). We had the very first animal crossing and I have been looking for this game since on a similar platform. I wasn't excited that I needed to purchase the switch to play the game but at least it was Christmas and could be asked for as a present.

Enjoyable game! If you loved the original Gamecube game or the off-shoots for the DS, you will enjoy this game. You get to see fan-favorite villagers from past games to new and original characters for this game. Nintendo always has seasonal events to keep the game active and the new DLC to keep you busy.

This game is perfect for current times, keeps you busy. While you are playing you have to look for your creativity side in order to build up your island from scratch. This is a different game but definitely fun and time consuming. By the end of it all you will be satisfied with you island and being able to share it with your friends and family as it is very interactive.

Great game and super calming! It's really nice to have a game that isn't fast paced to wind down at the end of the day. It is as structured or as unstructured of a game as you'd like it to be. For myself, I downloaded a companion app to keep track of daily tasks (finding fossils for the museum, talking to villagers, hitting rocks for supplies/bells). It's very fun

The best Animal Crossing game so far in my opinion. Tons of replayability/come-back-ability for things like customizing your town and the huge number of craftable recipes you can collect. Biggest downside for me was the lack of some of the old items and furniture sets, though hopefully those get slowly added in over time through free updates.
