It's a great addition to the Animal Crossing series, but also a great standalone game and starting point for someone who has never played the AC games before. Graphics and gameplay are amazing!

If you're looking for a time killing life simulation, this is it for you. Animal Crossing is a series with an appeal that is incredibly difficult to place, but I think the best way to describe it is the freedom to live a relaxing life without the pressure of actual life. Although there are aspects of debt and social responsibilities in the game, you are by no means obligated to do so and can instead go fish, catch bugs, terraform your island, or just make art and sleep. Animal Crossing New Horizons provides you with that freedom in spades, and I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to tend a garden every day without having to worrying about killing those flowers.

Perfect game for all ages. Animal crossing allows you to express your creative side. Build up your island and you can visit your friends islands online. Highly recommend for any switch owner.

What can I say that others have not? Not much. This game is a time killer. You either invest a lot of time or you won’t have fun. Easy that even my kid can play it but intriguing enough that I play it as well. Took one star off because game does not allow more than one “island” per Switch/game cartridge. To have separate islands you have to have a separate Switch and game cartridge.

It's what you've come to expect from Animal Crossing and refined to a certain degree. The increasing pocket size is one of my favorite additions. Crafting plays a huge roll now, so you have to collect materials reminiscent of Minecraft in order to make things like furniture, tools, and some story related stuff. Not a terrible addition if you're into it. Has a system where you earn points to redeem for upgrades (like the aforementioned pocket upgrade) and, of course, you have plenty of opportunities to earn and spend bells as you upgrade your house and buy items. If you like previous installments, you'll like this. More of the same with some quality of life improvements.

A fun game honestly not much else to say I’m glad I bought tho it’s definitely my most played game on my switch

I got a Switch and Animal Crossings in hopes that I could bridge the gap for my non-gamer girlfriend’s birthday. She is hooked! Perfect game because you can legit pick it up for a little play session and put it down into sleep mode for later. I guess some people don’t think you can be into video games casually. You can, and the Switch proved this for her. Plus now I get to game The Witcher 3 in bed at night with no complaints haha. ACNH is a fun game that can be played for short sessions but also watch out it can totally hook you in for an hour and a half sometimes. I prefer more action in my games but if it’s your thing the game is really polished.

A lot of hours you can put into this game into building up and customizing every little thing. Letting you play with friends makes the game even more enjoyable as you help each other.

This island is your peaceful place. It’s calm and easy to learn. The game is friendly and addictive! I have been suggesting it to co-workers as it is relaxing to play!!! 5 stars!

Bought this for my 7yr old(1st grade). Reading is required for this game and she can comprehend almost all the interactions. Does need some assistance with larger words and scenarios. She’s had a lot of fun with this game and so have I. We’re on the same island together and we can send each other presents and play at the same time which is fun. It’s not great when it comes to coop but it’s sufficient for a short period of time. She also loves the creative process of building and designing her home. Only regret is that I purchased the physical copy instead of digital. I just wasn’t sure how much she’d like it and liked the idea of being able to resell if she didn’t.

This is hands down one of the most charming and relaxing games I’ve ever played. From the moment you arrive on your deserted island, the world feels like a peaceful escape. The graphics are adorable, the music is soothing, and the attention to detail in everything—from seasons to character interactions—is incredible.

Absolutely love this game. Worth the purchase. Easy to play & very addicting. It was also at the cheapest price I found so well worth going to Best Buy to purchase it!

If you love collecting things or customization this game is for you. It has things to do for each day that you play and special events where you can earn extra bells or more custom items.

I haven't played Animal Crossing since Wild World on the ds, but figured it would be a perfect game for quarantining and boy was I right! It's amazing, relaxing, and almost like a job at times. It takes away from the boredom of being stuck home and doesn't stress you out or make you be on your toes at all times like other games. The only thing I really dislike is that there is no cloud save and it can't be transferred to another console.. I started it on my daughters console and soon found out that I couldn't transfer everything over to mine. Very sad about that, but it's not enough to take away from the enjoyment of this wonderful game! Highly Recommended!!

There’s a vast amount of tasks to complete with no pressure at all. You also get to spend time exploring your inner creativity as you build and expand your personal island. Love it !

This game is the definition of adorable. A fun game with lots to do, lots to collect, and lots to explore and upgrade. There's always stuff to do. Fun and addicting.

As a new Animal Crossing player, this game is probably my favorite game release in a while. The game looks great, plays great and the adventure is just wonderful. 10/10 would recommend.
