No review needed. Just took too long to come out and needed a little more freedom developed into the game for multiplayer, maybe add bikes or minigames?

I've played every Animal Crossing game since the GameCube and while it isn't perfect, it's a nostalgic experience I'm grateful for at a time like now.

When New Horizons released, hype was an all time high. Despite the new mechanics like crafting, New Horizons can feel a bit barren in terms of content when compared to it's predecessors, notably in the furniture department. The game feels a bit rushed, and most of the missing features seem to be added post launch as dlc.

Buy the game. Play it all the time. It has much more depth than previous versions. Definitely worth buying for your long days home hiding from viruses.

This game is chill to play, its relaxing. But it has major flaws. Beginning with the limitation of 1 island per console even if you have a family switch online account. If you have a family that wants to play this beware it will force everyone to live on the same island. Each user cant have their own. 2nd is the frequency rocks spawn, you can somewhat make up for this by flying to NPC islands to collect resources but you will have to earn/buy nook miles tickets to do so. 3rd you cant rotate the camera to be able to see behind trees and buildings. 4th aiming nets and fishing rods are frustrating. Im sure i could name more flaws but you can learn to live with most of these. Really its the 1 island per console limit that destroys this game.

I ordered the game online & picked it up at the store. Best Buy in Morehead City used all the Covid19 precautions when I did their drive thru pick up.

Was amazingly surprised at the speed. Was told orders coutdoor take an hour and I swear within 5 minstrel I got email say it was ready

For background, this is my first Animal Crossing experience. For the first few months I loved getting to know my villagers, finding new insects and fish, and decorating my island. The novelty wore off, however, and Nintendo could be doing so much more with this franchise. It is disappointing that very few objects you can place are interactive besides the most basic actions. The multilayer has the most cumbersome user interface I have ever dealt with in a release of this caliber and there is not much you can do with other players besides trading items and catching fish/insects. Even now almost a year later the game is lacking much needed quality of life updates. Longtime fans will probably love this game, but I just can't recommend it for someone new to the franchise; it is well behind modern game design in interactivity and user interface.

I haven’t been able to stop playing, always something to do. The real time aspect is very cool but can be frustrating, easily fixed by tome traveling
