This is my first Animal Crossing game and I have been really happy with the game. It is a great way to relax. I really like how the environment changes in real time and that there are new features and events being added in to keep the game fresh with new content.

Wife and kids loved the game so much we had to get 4 copies. Game is somewhat educational with real bugs and fish To catch, you can make your island how you want, and there is a lot to do. There is seasonal content as well. The perfect game to play some every day.

I have been an Animal Crossing fan since New Leaf on the 3DS. That was my first exposure to the series because one of my best friends randomly got it and got hooked. He soon thereafter bought me a copy of it and needless to say that got me hooked. I've never been on for the sim-style games but Animal Crossing is just so mellow and relaxed it gets your hooks in you. New Horizons is a step-up from New Leaf in almost every way. There is so much to do and there is no rush. It uses a real-time clock system that resembles your 24-hr clock in real life with things to do each day and specific things to do during each different season. I highly recommend this game to any fan of Nintendo's charming ascetic or even other gamers who would never have picked this up to begin with - I was one of them! It's the perfect game especially during this hard time of social distancing and confinement. Please give it a try!

I absolutely adore this game. Are used to play the original when I was a child so the nostalgia is crazy. I really like what they are doing to the game and all the things that they are adding. It makes it fun even know how to play as an adult. I really like how I can connect with my friends and my siblings and we can do Island activities together. It is such a relaxing game and I love to play it before bed as well to help me fall asleep.I absolutely adore this game. Are used to play the original when I was a child so the nostalgia is crazy. This is a very fun game. Great for little kids, but also great if you just want to zone out and relax. You collect stuff, build stuff, design stuff. It also helps you limit your screen time, because after a certain point each day, there isn't a whole lot to do

I've wondered why Animal Crossing: New Horizons is so popular. After all, isn't it just like the Sims but with animals? Well, it's because it's done in such a cute way, and it focuses on building beautiful outdoor scenery, and to a lesser extent, interior decoration (of your house). In contrast, when I played Sims 4, I felt that the focus was too heavy on making enough money from a day job, and spending way too much time eating and going to the bathroom than doing more enjoyable things. Also, Animal Crossings has a great social component, such as visiting friends' islands just to see what other people have done, to sell turnips, trade items, and water each other's flowers. Also, Animal Crossing's scenery changes with your actual time of day and season, and there are events that happen only during certain times of the day, or on a given month. Great job, Nintendo!

Nearly the perfect game for anyone who wants to escape reality. When played as it’s meant to be played, it is meant to be almost unbeatable and will last a long time. There’s will still be a million possibilities even months into playing the game. I bought the Nintendo Switch just to play this game. After playing for a couple of weeks, I can safely say that I made the right decision. I do have a few critiques of the game, such as the fact that we are limited to one island per switch and have to share an island with others sharing our switch. The developers could have also made it so that you can pick up several items at once instead of one at a time since that is tedious but I do understand that this is meant to be played at a slow pace. So keep that in mind when you play. I considered giving the game 4 stars due to these complaints, but I decided the pros outweigh the cons by too much.

This is my second copy of the game, we bought another switch just to be able to play animal crossing together, it’s that much fun! I can’t wait to see if a new version will come out with the release of the new switch!

This game is great. It’s calming and makes me very happy! Nintendo just knows how to please us. Definitely worth the hype and exceeded my expectations. I still play it every single day and still not tired of it due to new activities that come pretty often.

Still a great game, I played all the past animal crossing games, but this one is the easiest to get into if you've never played. After the more recent update there's more to do, so it'll take a while to run out.

Very relaxing game. I can play with my 3 boys here at home or with my daughter in the Navy. You can visit other people's islands and give gifts. It's lots of fun amd not a fast paced game. Lots or ways to be creative.

I never really understood why so many people were hyped for this game, but given the social restrictions from the pandemic, I figured this would be a good game to add to my collection to play during the quarantine. I can't tell you exactly what it is, but there is something about ACNH that is extremely satisfying. The real-time sync adds a lot to the game by making me excited to do certain things in the morning vs the evening. It also really helps manage burnout from the game because it almost encourages you to take breaks if you want. The customization is really fun. I've spent hours on simply figuring out how to make pixel art of my favorite pop culture series. There is something really satisfying about the sound effects in the game as well. The sounds even just in the menus when you click on things are very soothing somehow. This game is tons of fun and definitely worth trying out.

Animal Crossing is just one of the most enjoyable and relaxing games I have ever played. It's really escapism at its finest (which has been really great because of all the recent changes because of COVID-19). I'll admit, I was a little hesitant before buying the game (I thought it was going to be boring). However, even though the first couple of days went by a little slowly, after that, I really started to enjoy the game. I've already played over sixty hours on it, and I'm still planning on continuing, so it's money well-spent in my opinion. It's definitely a game that you can play at your own pace, and there is no real rush to complete the tasks quickly if you don't want to. It's really a stress, free, enjoyable game. Who knew doing chores to pay off an in-game loan could be so fun? Definitely would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys cute, relaxing, and enjoyable games.

This was my first Animal Crossing game. It came at the perfect time during quarantine. It kept me busy and distracted for hours, it's a fun game to play solo or with friends or family. There is a lot do in this game and will be well worth the purchase.

Animal Crossing has always been an enjoyable series largely in part due to the relaxing gameplay and music. It's an easy game to pick up, but sometimes harder to put down. They've packed a lot of content in here and it looks like even more will be on the way.

A wonderfully fun game. Animal Crossing has never been better. The amount of customization options in terms of creating your own dream island makes past games look obsolete, including placing furniture anywhere on the island and the terraforming possibilities. The graphics are pleasant to look at and the soundtrack is peaceful as always. This game provides fun experiences every single day for me - decorating your house, fishing, and capturing bugs doesn't sound that much fun on paper, but the experience of watching your island grow is really worth it. There are some drawbacks, mainly with some quality of life issues (unable to craft in bulk, unnecessary dialogue). But these drawbacks are minor nuisances and don't take away from the experience for me. Important to note that you can only have 1 island per system, if you have multiple players of a single Switch console.

This game was truly made with love and care for the series and fandom. There are some quality of life updates that are needed but the game is fun, relaxing, and addicting. It also has received support from Nintendo in the form of post launch free content.

Nintendo has once again given us a wonderful Animal Crossing game. For people new to the series, this game entails fishing, catching bugs, building wardrobes and other Do It Yourself items and is a very relaxing game to play. Just watch out for the spiders.
