My girlfriend loves animal crossing and I got this for her not knowing how much the game has advanced since new leaf, this is the ultimate Animal Crossing game to get, you can do everything that hasn’t been done in animal crossing before, it’s extremely appealing and the soundtrack is amazing as always, definitely recommend if you’re looking to spend long hours playing

I bought Animal Crossing in April of 2020. I started the game, but I only got as far as choosing my island and that was pretty much it. I put it on the shelf and it sat there until 3 weeks ago. My wife started playing it when we were driving to our vacation destination. When we came back home from vacation, I watched my wife play the game. It was then that I realized that you can only have one island per switch. I have a switch lite, so I went to Best Buy to purchase a second copy of Animal Crossing. It was on sale when I purchased the 2nd copy so I was happy about that. We have been having a blast playing and visiting each others islands.

This is a great addition to the animal crossing series with new additions that makes this game even more addicting than the series already was. There are no longer daily tasks that are one and done. Instead the tasks are unlimited, once you complete one of five, another appears. There are new creatures not seen in the series before, too, along with new ways to explore that are always randomized. Overall its a great experience for all ages.

I play it with my son. It can get a little repetitive but still enjoyable if you’re looking for a relaxing game.

Addicted! Such a fun game, took me a little to get into it but once you’re in, it’s so much fun! I love how the game sync’s with real time and seasons, they have so much to do to keep you busy.

I have never played animal crossing before and I purchased this partially due to the hype and partially due to my love of MySims DS. The mechanics can be mildly frustrating at times but once you get the hang of it and unlock different tools it plays well. I’ve already logged over 100 hours (when I should have been studying for my classes). The main downside for me is not being able to transfer save data to a new console since my ACNH Switch got here a couple weeks after my game. I had to restart altogether. The one island per console thing sucks but I loved it so much that I bought my girlfriend a switch and the game so we could play together. Not that it is practical for most people. The multiplayer is sorta playable.

Animal Crossing is what's known as a Sandbox game. Meaning you do what you want at your own pace. You can tend to your island, collect furniture to deck out your house, collect bugs/fish/fossils and a whole lot more. The scenery and activities you can do change daily with even more drastic changes coming each month, so there's always going to be something for you to discover. You can even sink hours into making designs to personalize your house, island, or clothes. There is just so much to do in this game. It's slow paced and fun. Just a high quality title by Nintendo. There's a reason this game is a smash hit. You will not be disappointment picking this up. People of any age or skill level will be able to enjoy it.

This game came out not too long ago and at first I was skeptical of getting it as I have never played into an Animal Crossing before. Seeing the growing popularity of this new title in the series and the massive amount of positive reviews I chose to purchase this and after playing for a week or so I can say that I’m happy with my purchase. Aesthetically this game is perfect from the visual animation style to the gentle calm music. The gameplay is more slower paced but it makes everything you do in the end feel more impactful and rewarding in the long run. If that’s not your style then I don’t recommend getting this game especially if you’re mostly used to FPS shooters or games that are more faster paced.

Best Family Gift I’ve ever bought

We bought as gift for the grandkids, but it’s become an addictive family game and costing nights of lost sleep! Mom & Dad (37 & 44) play w kids 11, 7 & 4 — and the n’hood tweens come over to play! It captures everyone & the competition goes on with who has the best house, who has more stuff, who scored the most — & these are just the conversations in the car, after school or at dinner w the game turned off! I’ve never given anything that captured THIS much of Family time! We bought 2 more pro controllers (better for the 10 & olders). This game has so many levels & ways and to compete that it does not grow old. They have 3 games & this vm is their fav, hands down.

    Shades of (Relaxing) Pandemic Life

I love this game, but it holds the title of being the pandemic game to me. At the time, we couldn't go to the store without fear of getting sick. Couldn't go to the movies. Couldn't go anywhere. We turned to games and if you were lucky enough - you got this game right before everything started to close down. I'll be honest, I haven't played this game since those times. I feel like I'll get flashbacks, but the real reason I haven't played it since then - I got bored. Don't get me wrong, still a game and definitely worth the price. If you have little ones, this is a great distraction game. The game play is simple and enjoyable by all ages. Being a middle aged man, I enjoyed it every weekend for about 2 months before I pretty much stopped playing it all together. There is no challenging game play here and the play seems to crawl to a snails pace at times. Characters are fun to interact with and the support from Nintendo on this game makes it well worth the buy. My only make a break complaint on this game? Main gameplay has to be tied to 1 account. Meaning if your kid starts an island up, your character's progression is tied to how far they can get. You'll find yourself playing as your kid's (or significant other's) character just to progress through the story and unlock everything in the core game. If you want a good relaxing game - get this. You won't be disappointed!

Purchased this game for my wife 2 years ago so she can play with our teenagers. The kids don't play much anymore but my wife plays a little every day still. It must be a great game if she's still playing it daily for this long. Seems to be a fun game for both kids and adults.

I’m not a gamer but I’m really enjoying this game. The controls are easy, no crazy combinations of buttons to perform something. You land on this not-exactly-deserted deserted island and build your life. You collect things: weeds, rocks, oranges, sticks and you can either sell them for money to buy things or you can craft things. Like a fishing pole from sticks. You can garden or sit on the beach or trade in your tent for a cabin, then decorate it. The music is relaxing, the pace is relaxing, and the other people and critters on the island are friendly and helpful. I know it doesn’t sound like much but it’s a great way to chill at the end of the day

Before you say that you can’t use online or whatever to talk to friends etc. yeah it’s because you need Nintendo online which sucks even though you paid a good amount of money on a game. But honestly, Nintendo online isn’t that expensive. It’s worth the price depending on how long you want your membership. Back to the game, it’s fun to play during these times. FYI only one person/player can play this game, regardless if you have others registered into the switch. If the main person/player plays the game and another person/player wants to to play it with their account, it will take it as if the main person who owns the switch is theirs. Other than that, it’s a great game and I’ve had it for a month.

This newest Animal Crossing is everything the previous games had and more! I was surprised on how you can customize your town and craft things like furniture and bridges, for example. A lot of new things to keep my family and I logging in! My only piece of advice is to make sure whoever the 1st player you create is, make sure that person plays consistently because they will become the town representative and has more capabilities than other players. I found we can only advance in the town with player 1 doing most of the work (building the museum and Nook's Cranny and preparing houses for new neighbors to move in are dependent on player 1) I hope AC can fix the capabilities with this so all players can do things.
