My son loves playing this game. And I'm happy to see him playing a non-violent game. There are lots of in-game activities to stimulate his creativity.

This was the game I needed. Currently there is a pandemic making things horrible for so many people. Animal Crossing New Horizons let's you escape all the stress of your real daily life and do things at your own pace. Fix up your island, make friends, tend a garden, explore, fish, do what you want! Cannot recommend this game more.

Followed the trend and bought this game after the hype died down a bit but I understand now why everyone loves it so much. It became addictive and I had to play every single day. After some time you finish the game and just work towards growing your house and collecting items. Still fun though.

Such a wonderful and adorable game. I have spent hours working on my island. There is never a dull moment with the villagers. Extremely fun to play with others through the use of online play. There are endless possibilities that could be made into your island. The updates bring so many new and fun activities.

If you’re looking for a great mental escape from this lovely lockdown we are experiencing due to COVID-19, look no further. This game is just like the original, only of course better graphics, and even more to do. I have been playing this daily since launch and it has yet to get old. Relaxing and a great time-killer. Just get it!

Preordered this game and I did not regret it. No bugs or glitches in the game as everything runs very smoothly. There is a ton to do in this game and is a great game to just play and relax with after work or a long day. Loading times can be a bit long especially when you start the game up, but not a dealbreaker at all.

This is a super relaxing and fun game, especially while quarantining! It is definitely one of the best games of 2020. I love all the DIYs and the graphics are superb. The only downside is in order to play online with others, you do need to purchase the Nintendo membership. I highly recommend to everyone - you will not regret it.

Bought for kiddo and he loves playing it everyday. Amazed at how he spruced up his home day after day and interact with other animals on the island.

Love this game! I played a long time ago on the game cube but this one is a lot funner as you can do more things as well as customize your island. The only downside is if you have a second player they are limited in the things they can do (can’t help build houses or get the recipes that you get)

Addicted, bought this game but didn't open for like 2 months because i was playing another game. Then my friend got it so I decided to try it out. Best purchase, its so addictive and so much fun when playing woth friends. Its never ending tasks so you dont get bored because there is always a goal.

This is, without a doubt, the best life sim on the Switch. If you're looking for a game that you can use as an excuse to just relax for a few minutes every day--or micro-manage for hours on end--this is just for you! There is nothing I can add to this game that hasn't been said by millions of other satisfied owners!

Bought this as a gift for my niece. Seeing my kiddo playing solo and with cousins, it seems like a good game. My 7-year-old actually improved her reading skills by reading the captions. Thumbs up.

This game has been a lifesaver during quarantine. With tasks you want to complete everyday plus the recent update keeps the game fun and interesting! You get to let your creative side come out with all the fun ways you can do up your island. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys games that are relaxing and fun!

This is the game of the 2020 quarantine, but even without it, this game would've been a smash hit! So much adorable fun to be had. Play alone, or with your friends, customization options are endless for your character and island, and its so much fun do all the tasks around the island, high replay value too!

I can't believe the amount of content and customization there is in this game! This is my first animal crossing game and I am so happy and grateful I was able to pick this up at my local Best Buy. Great purchase and tons of hours of content in collecting, customizing and exploring other islands! A must buy for any switch owner.

I love this game .This is refreshing and relaxing when I take a break from Fortnite game and emerge from the adventure -like in different island such as changing new gear for swimming . This is more smooth and less boring from animal crossing 1. This keep me away from intense shooting and search of on line game. Love it.

A great sandbox game. Very cute. I spent about 300 hours on it and unlocked plenty. I eventually didn't have time for it, but I'd like to get back to the "daily." I just wish they weren't so strict with times. I work and go to school and don't fit a normal schedule.

Gameplay is very much like previous AC titles and is of course fun if you enjoyed those. The graphics are perfectly suited for the style AC has and while some of the features like using Amiibo cards to invite animals requires some time investment, it's there and functional. I've been playing about a week and haven't unlocked it but I'm also not playing a ton of hours every day in addition to it being time-gated by way of needing to build certain things which take time themselves. The controls are OK. Could be better but then most games' controls could be better. Certain dialogue is needlessly redundant and asks you to confirm things multiple times in a row that even if you messed up wouldn't cost you anything. Multiplayer is functional, rarely had any interruptions and they were due to someone's console going to sleep or something like that rather than the game's framework itself. My main gripe with multiplayer is just how long it takes for people to enter and exit islands. You have to wait a good 30 seconds for someone to join and about 10 for someone to leave, and it happens for EACH person EVERY time. It disables everyone on the island from doing anything in this time and you have to close any dialog you have open such as inventory just for the game to even let the person start the process of joining. If you do not, it will tell them there's "interference" until you do. Sub-gripe would be that you can't really do much with your stuff while people visit. You can't view item lists for building new villager houses, etc. You can't donate things to the museum. You can't drag/move around anything, even simple things like a chair. You can't place anything fresh. You CAN drop certain items for people to pick up. All that said, there were some needless changes to the English version from the other versions of the game that are purely for political reasons so I have to knock it an extra star. I wish I had known before buying it as I would have waited and bought it used instead. There were no Best Buy return avenues available for me since the game was opened by the time I knew about it. In summary: If you like AC and don't mind the gripes I said and needless political meddling, you'll probably like this game. If you DO mind said griped or meddling, then I would recommend against getting it.
