I’ve played all previous iterations of Animal Crossing, and while some of my favorite features have come and gone, as all game series, this embodies animal crossing well. Shy of a few very old features, and, at the time of writing this review, some main characters and items, this game is the combination of all other previous games, with new features, gimmicks, and villagers to love. Whilst distinctly different, it’s enjoyable, and still feels very much like an animal crossing game. I definitely recommend this game to any and everyone; especially during this quarantine.

I've played animal crossing since new leaf. New horizons really steps up the game. Although there is not a lot of tutorial content (I can't bring Isabelle sea shells :/ ) Animal crossing does compensate with seasonal events and crafting recipes. And on the topic of crafting- some of it is tedious and repetitive. You'll be crafting basic tools often- unless you want to spend 2500 bells at nook's- and there is no indication when your tool will break. Otherwise, the graphics are pleasant (plants blow in the wind!) and it is very exciting to start up a new town!!

This is the second game that I got for my Nintendo Switch Lite after Mario and I am really enjoying it and having a great time learning what to do and how to customize my island. This is my first time playing Animal Crossing and it was a little daunting at first cause there isn’t a whole lot of direction on what to do or how to do it but after watching a few short videos on YouTube I am really starting to understand and enjoy it more and more. The characters are cute and really like the idea behind the whole concept so I would recommend this.

I have never played Animal Crossing before however I was familiar with it because I collect amiibo and have liked the characters Isabelle, K.K. Slider and Tom Nook. Being quarantined I decided to pick this game up and give it a try since there's only so much Mario Kart and Splatoon one can play. I am so happy I did. You will get lost in this game, there is so much to do and Nintendo is constantly giving free updates to the game it seems monthly. If you are needing something to do right now and have a Switch, this game is a definite must, you will be very happy.

Having played Animal Crossing since the Gamecube days, I love how the game has evolved. The game is essentially a life simulator with cute characters. The game has charming characters, and the colors and environments are fun to look at. You create your own character and you're tasked with helping the island grow. You can get your own house and make it grow. It's a fun and relaxing game where you can fish, catch bugs, and enjoy the outdoors. The game has been fun since the gamecube days, all of the way to the most recent iteration.

Animal Crossing is a relaxing and fun game. You start off in a deserted island and continually build it up to however you want it to look. There's so much you can do to improve your island that it's hard to put the game down. There are so many items and furnitures you can create via crafting. You can also catch bugs or fish to expand your museum collection or sell them for more money for your island. There's also a lot of nice options for clothes, but you can also create your own designs if you'd like. I'm 200 hours in and still improving my island. Easy 5 stars.

It got my gf and I through the pandemic, it’s wonderful. It’s been almost a year & there’s so much we haven’t gotten. Nintendo why must you make us wait? So many easy quality of life updates could make this game a forever masterpiece. I love it, had to learn to like crafting. I’m at the point now where it’s not the first game I’m booting up since it’s so repetitive now. I’m feeling like I’ve done almost everything & that makes me sad for an AC game. Frequent substantial updates is all we ask.

Okay I did not know what to expect with this, I was very hesitant because of the price and I didn’t know if it was going to be boring but omg!! I love it! If you’re a person who enjoys playing sims and all those “life making” games, this one is for you! It is SUPER relaxing for some reason. It is quite an obsession and I don’t know why. I’m glad I went ahead and got it. I feel like if you have a switch, you just need to have this game just because. It’s very relaxing and very fun. I see it as my escape from reality.

I've played the Animal Crossing franchise for about 10 years now. This game blows New Leaf for the 3ds out of the water, which was also a great game. I have had so much fun playing this game every day both alone in my own singleplayer world, and also joining my friend's islands or inviting them to mine. It's a very family-friendly game as well, so no need to worry about violence or bad language. I think anyone could pick this game up regardless of if they've ever played an Animal Crossing game, or any video games at all. It's happy, addictive, and a good time.
