I mean, if you've played Animal Crossing games before, you know what to expect. But the game does two things well- pacing out features you unlock as you develop your island, and giving you more customization and creative freedom then ever before. The charm is still there, the music is beautiful. I have heard complaints about how the game is less fun with multiple users using one switch, and I've seen how anyone other than the first play doesn't get the same benefits. I hope this will be addressed in the future. But if you're the only player, it's fantastic.

Had some bad FOMO about this game, so I got the game for myself. It never looked like that much fun, but we all have extra time now, so I decided to give it a shot. The first two days, I couldn't figure out what was so fun about it. The third day, I spent a little more time, then more the next day, and the next. Now I'm pretty hooked to it, though it's also one of those games you can easily put down if you're busy and have something to do. You can easily pour in hundreds of hours into this game if you're looking to pass the lockdown much faster.

If you want to forget about covid and how lame things are right now, this game is perfect. Stress, anxiety, even crippling depression fall away when you hop into the cute, friendly world of animal crossing. The game is easy to understand and thanks to its sandbox nature, you won’t get frustrated by it. You’re free to create your own island however you see fit. You can play online with friends or do your own thing. It’s relaxing designing your house, catching bugs, fishing and interacting with your island critters. Well worth the $60, and then some.

I have been waiting for this game to come out for the longest since it was announced by Nintendo. They couldn’t have released it at a better time. With the world in quarantine due to the Covid -19 pandemic, people had nothing but time in their hands. I loved spending hours playing this game and building my island up but also trading with people online. This game is great for children just entering the Animal Crossing franchise or veterans who have been playing the game since wild world .

Whether you're new to Animal crossing or a long-time fan of the series, this game has a lot to offer. People may ask what do you do in this game? There's lots to do! Improve your island, build your house, customize your character, play with friends and the local residents, go fishing and so much more. Do what you want for as long as you want. Although the first few days playing the game can feel slow and limited, this is done so you can slowly learn how to play the game and not be overwhelmed. Overall, it's a great game and would definitely recommend it.

My wife and children can't get enough of this game. They play it all day and night, sharing stories about loan repayments and star fragments. Complaining about "Celeste" who never seems to visit their islands. Island hopping to share design ideas and collectibles with complete strangers they meet via social media boards. And shaking down npcs for "recipes" which are more like blue prints for useful items. If you're patient, love designing your own space, and are into tidbits of instant gratification while playing the long game, then this is for you.

Very fun game but you can only create one island, so if you have multiple people that play your switch you're all in the same world.

We played this game as a family for months this past summer and it was so much fun. Building up the village, collecting fish and bugs, and inviting new visitors to the island. As a game, you really do need to make your own fun though, as there isn't a linear story or plot to follow. You kind of just move along and explore on your own. There is an "ending" which happens after you have met a few criteria, but we kept playing long after we hit that goal. Also, making and designing your own clothes and house is its own fun game.

At first I was very skeptical of wanting to play this game. I was unsure if I would like it or not. I ended up loving this game because there's so many different things to do, such as designing the island how you want it to look like, getting certain villagers on your island, and if your into stocks they have their own version of that by buying turnips (stalks). There are also a lot of silly puns that are said throughout the game to keep you entertained. I would definitely recommend this game if you like to collect different items and is creative.

I was really excited to buy this game when it came out, so excited that I finally decided to buy a switch just so I could play it. I have put over 150 hours into this game over the last few months and there is still more awesome stuff to do! I have ASD and Animal Crossing has always been one of my special interests, but New Horizons takes the cake. It’s one of the most fun, stress free games you can play. It saved me when we were under quarantine and I had to have surgery and couldn’t leave my house. I would recommend this game to everyone.

I don't even know where to begin with this game. I played the original and almost all of them along the way but this just blows them all out of the water. This game is so customizable and fun without demanding anything from you that you can't help but want to put more and more time in. The mrs. never plays video games and thought it was a joke that a bunch of 30 something guys were trading fruit and visiting each other until I made her try it out... now we fight for screen time. If you like any of the earlier titles or anything in this genre, get this.

My 13 year old daughter begged for this game daily and now that she has it...plays daily. In this game..she chooses her character and runs around shaking trees talking to villagers and knocking on doors. Her favorite thing is that she can collect things to sell and can also purchase things. She showed me her house and said she needed a lot more money to upgrade. She also showed me her museum which she said needed more work...more collectibles. I would recommend as a game for younger kids...not so sure how long game would hold older kids attention.
