Really glad they took their time to release this game, as it’s another great entry into the series. At first I was pretty disappointed to see that you can only have 1 island per console.. but then I purchased another switch.. that’s really my only gripe with this game. Other than that it’s the same relaxing, comforting gameplay everyone loves. There’s been a lot of different events to change things up which is great! Can’t wait to see how this game evolves over time.

I love this game. I’ve never been into video games but this game is easy to play And will keep you busy for hours.

I’ve played this game for hours. It has completely sucked reality out of my life and placed me into this cute world filled with friendly villagers and lots of island decorating. I don’t really know what’s real and what’s not anymore. I’ve grown an attachment to these virtual animals that make my day brighter. Worth the purchase! Especially since it kills so much time for me and takes me away from the stresses of the world. Especially this pandemic! .Xx

this has been a great game to pass the time, chill attitude and low pressure goals make this a must on the switch

This game is really fun. Great way to be creative with your own little island! we enjoy this very much!

Pretty fun game, only thing that sucks is that you have to wait a full day to do some things. Can get boring when you can’t do much at night time. Overall though I do find the game quite entertaining and fun. It’s a good creative game to play, I would still recommend.

This is the 2nd game I've played in the Animal Crossing universe; the first being the mobile game, so I kind of knew what I was getting into. Game might not be for everyone since you're "grinding" to build your island, but it's a game where you don't really need to rush to get things done. You can play at your own pace and build and progress how you want. Definitely would recommend this game if you need a break from your usual 'high intensity' type games out there.

I’ve been playing since the release date and I’m obsessed. The online play isn’t required, but it does make it a whole lot more fun when you connect with other users. (I find people with open islands on reddit.) There are events that happen pretty often which makes the game feel new every time. Outside resources for outfits, trading, and events makes this game so much more enjoyable. This is definitely a game for those who like to collaborate and customize.

We bought a total of 3 and everyone played them for hours at first and we still play regularly. It's fun to set up your island and my kids learn about interest and playing the "stalk" market with turnips. Very basic concepts of them but it lays ground work. There are fun events and special items plus with so much available, no two islands look alike. We visit each other's islands and trade and they play with their friends too.

Great game for casual play. You can dabble in all the things it has to offer or focus on one aspect of gameplay. It offers online social play, mining/ harvesting, farming, fishing, custom outfit creation, custom building/ scenery, and design a layout to name a few. If you are looking for a go at your on pace, pick what you want to do, and casual gameplay, then this is for you. If you want set goals with an end game, then look elsewhere.

A true gem. Feels a bit barebones compared to New Leaf, but consistent updates and free content will push it far.

I've been a big fan of Animal Crossing since Wild World. The promise of New Horizons was actually enough to make me buy a switch! The game is amazing and absolutely worth it. Gorgeous visuals, fun new concepts different than the previous games, etc. The only drawbacks come down to Nintendo greed. Not only can you only have one island per game, you can only have one game per console, making it so that you have to have a different switch for every island (terrible for families.) There is also drawback to visiting friends' islands. Previously, traveling was a free feature, but now (according to what I've read) you have to have a Nintendo Online subscription for long distance travel. Really all horrible decisions on Nintendo's part. Otherwise, a perfect game.

Fun game. I bought a digital copy for my kid, found out you can only have one island per console, and if you have a lite, you can only play one player at a time, so I couldn’t play along with them. I bought a second console, you can play with the digital copy, but only under the person that purchased the software unless you change it to your primary console, and then it disables ability for second person (ie the kids account) from playing on the light. AND you can’t play console to console local play unless you have a second copy. I don’t want her having rando people visiting their island, and really wanted to have a visitor, so I caved and bought a second copy so we could. Kind of a pain, so be aware. You can play together at the same time on local console play with a single regular switch console, but play is limited for the other players not designated as the ‘leader’. But it is a fun game to play

She fell in love with the game. Haven't spoken to her in a while now... If I listen closely I can hear the sound of "meeps" coming from the room... Send help. "It's like a calming relaxing game, that has like little villagers in it, and you dig up stuff, and plant trees, and have houses, and furnish your house, and make stuff...Oh and you go into debt with a raccoon."

This game has been a life saver during COVID lockdown. It's so calming to play either by yourself or with others. It's also a great source of satisfaction and fulfillment when the real world is proving difficult. I love the fact that the game operates in real time. It gives you something to look forward to and keeps you coming back day after day to see what's new. All ages will enjoy this game and find an activity in it that calls to then. Cannot recommend enough!
