Animal Crossing is the perfect game to escape reality for a while. There are zillions of things to do from fishing, to digging up fossils, to visiting neighboring islands, to trying to figure out how to kick off unwanted villagers, to many, many more fun quests and adventures. Nintendo continues to provide free updates to the game, too, so it continues to feel relevant even a year and a half after launch.

I've been playing Animal Crossing for years and had to purchase this one as well. I've put about 200 hours into this game and plan on spending more time. It's definitely a leisurely game that is meant to be played everyday- which is a huge part of the enjoyment of it. Meeting new villagers and tweaking my island into another "home" are just a few reasons why I love it so much. I hope you get this game and have as much fun as I do and create your own memories!

This game is amazing honestly one of the best games I’ve played in a while beautiful design and gameplay love the idea of being able to create an entire island community from scratch just get an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction watching you island community grow and being able to add new life to it daily this game is a 10/10 for me definitely worth buying for anyone out there who can’t decide if they should get it or not I guarantee you will not be disappointed

Definitely hands down switch game of the year so far. Keeps updating with numerous events throughout the calendar year to keep players busy and interested. Fun and appropriate for all ages and teaches lesson on diligence and hard working to upkeep your own island. Seeing growth from deserted island to a fully populated island by inviting over guests and villagers keep things dynamic with programmed AI for each players that have independent characteristics.

Purchased this for my daughter for her birthday. She's played as much as we allow since she opened it. Great graphics. Plays enough like prior version that it is easy to pickup and get to playing. Would definitely recommend to any animal crossing fan, or someone looking for a fun game for a kid that doesn't involve blood or fighting. It's fun to hear her talk about the money she has and how she's purchasing items. Now if she could just apply that to the real world.

Animal Crossing is addictive. Don’t play unless you want to be sucked into a beautiful, fun world.

I'm a dude. I play a lot of Battlefield, COD, Fighting Games, FPS, Racing games etc. I can't believe that I have played this game for over 300hrs since I purchased it (Via a year end email from Nintendo). It's a slow burner, but it's great for like an hour a day, and there is always something to do. I play with my gf (her island) and honestly, it's brought us closer as gaming friends and partners and saved our 2020. Fantastic game

I love this game. It has made the pandemic a lil easier. This game has bought out my creativity.

Great addition to the mainline Animal Crossing games. Lets you make changes to your island and previous activities. Downside is anyone who is not 1st player cannot move the main game along. Only the 1st player can do that so it can be a bit annoying unless you can figure out with friends/family how to rotate around this. Comparing this to New Leaf it does not have all activities at this time. So it feels a little bit limited if used to playing previous titles.

Perfect game to play if you need to unwind after a long and stressful day. You don't need to have any knowledge of the previous games to enjoy New Horizons because I've only played the first one and I am loving all the new content that Nintendo has added since then. Being able to decorate and customize almost everything on your island is overwhelming, but it's satisfying to watch the vision you have for the place slowly come to life. Super feel-good game!

The whole family loves this game; it's simple, sweet, and with the new content there is so much to do it doesn't get boring. NPC interactions are a little limited and repetitive, but it's easy to get into a groove playing it and just do what you enjoy and take on challenges when you want to. Would not recommend for non-readers since a lot of interactions are not clear based on context.

I bought this game as a gift and after a month and a half of play the game just gets better! This game is fun to people who love to play simple tasked games. The game is entertaining and relaxing. The game offers a satisfying feel. The only con of the game really is that you have to share an island if there is only one consul in the house hold but even that the team work sometimes helps you progress in the game faster. Over all a great game and a great buy!

This is the game you didn’t think you needed if you’ve never been introduced to this franchise! May be simple and repetitive if you’re not familiar with the style of play and goal of the game! But New Horizons will consume so much of your time and due to Covid it’s something we have a lot of! Build your island to your liking, maintain it, and visit others! Sounds simple, but it’s so much more! Have to play it to understand! It’s a lifestyle!

Aninal crossing never dissapoints, and this newer version has a lot of new fun features and a 2 player option.

I’ve played the Animal Crossing games since the first one. It include things from here game before it to make the best one yet. The only issue I have is sharing one island with another person leaves the second person out of many Fun tasks you get to do to upgrading the island.
