This is one of the first games I bought for the Switch, which I also bought right in the beginning of quarantine. I can honestly say that even though I also bought Breath of the Wild around the same time, all I want to do is play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You wouldn't think that living on a virtual deserted island and being in eternal debt to a tanuki named Tom would be as much fun as it is, but it is. One of my favorite aspects of the game is the ability to live on a COVID-free island and have the ability to pay off enormous debts at no interest. In all seriousness, buy this game, it won't disappoint.

I've been an Animal Crossing fan since the 1st one came out almost 20 years ago, and this one might be my favorite installment yet. The graphics are smooth and make everything look so cute. The gameplay retains enough of the original game to appeal to old players but has some new features that make it interesting. If it's your first foray into Animal Crossing don't worry about having to play any of the other games first, this is a standalone game and they teach you how to play in the beginning. I ordered it online from Best Buy and it arrived on time the next day. I can't recommend the game enough!

Ive played every single Animal Crossing game, and this one might be the best yet. There's so much customizing you can do now - changing the layout of your island, moving villagers' houses around, being able to put furniture and other items outside, the list goes on. Super customizable experience, if you get addicted to this game, you will easily spend hundreds of hours perfecting your house and island. Runs great as well, the load times are slightly long, and visiting other players' islands is sort of a hassle, but that's Nintendo games for you. Overall, a lovely experience.

Love this game!!!! It's fun and very enjoyable, however if you like AAA action-packed games, this is not for you.

Animal Crossing games are the best games ever created. They do exactly what a video game is suppose to do. They are relaxing and fun to play. I have been a fan of the games since the first one on the Nintendo Gamecube. Every time they make a new one, they keep getting better and better. Don't believe any negative reviews online, there are people who just want to badmouth Nintendo as much as they can they have never played these games. There is something new to do in the game everyday so you never get bored. If you want a relaxing game to play this is the game for you. Anyone can play this game age doesn't matter.

It's a simple and easy game. Developing an island is super simple and creative. The directions are easy to follow. It's a good game for a casual gamer.

Caved in and randomly bought animal crossing to see what the hype is about and my only regret is waiting til now to buy it. I've spent so many hours playing this game and I just purchased it two weeks ago. This is fun for moms, dad's, kids, anyone in the family! I wasn't sure how I felt about a game that you'll want to play every day but I love it. It's a play at your own pace game which makes it easier for those with busy schedules or those with kids who can't pay full attention to a game. Cant wait to get the animal crossing switch case to March my console now!

No, seriously. I can't stop playing. It's everything you want in animal crossing and more. The updates keep coming, so even without time traveling I'm having a blast.

This game is very fun - helped get me through quarantine in 2020! I love how new fish/insects become available each month. Animal Crossings is always a winner.

Don't have to put in a lot of hours each day to enjoy this game. Delightfully charming and it sounds like Nintendo is going to continually add to it to keep it fresh.

This is a very good game to play if you have a creative mind. You can build your own world how you want and also play with your friends. Great game to play anywhere!

This game has been getting review bombed all over the internet by people who are unhappy with the one island per console and not per user feature. Sure that's not idea for families that share a console and want to create a personal island. But I believe the idea behind that is to get people to play together.Also The game starts slow as it follows a day cycle like our own so you cannot progress too quickly at one time. But that does leave you with more of a feeling of accomplishment throughout your play time. this game is fantastic and looks and runs beautifully. Endless room for creativity and originality.

Purchased this for my wife. Husbands out there, please do the same! She enjoys it so much, my time fishing has gone up dramatically. Now she spends more time with Tom Nook than me! 5 stars! In all seriousness, she really enjoys the game. She bought a strategy guide as well to assist with helping build her island. From what I understand, it is addicting, but not my cup of tea. I'm glad she likes it and it seems like many of her friends do as well because they're always on each other's islands. If you're bored during this pandemic, this might be the game for you because it will suck you in!

AAA!!! Build your island YOUR way, the level of customization is EXCELLENT. I put many hours into the Gamecube Animal Crossing, and have put even more into this one. I love the island setting, the cast of unique characters (as always), and the adventure and freedom of just doing what you want to do. So many things to find and collect, various activities like fishing, and seasonal events. There's always something to do in Animal Crossing, and if you like games like Harvest Moon, StarDew Valley, and even Farmville--then you cannot go wrong by picking up this one.

Physically, everything was great! The gamecard is functional and there was no damage to the container it came in either. So far, I absolutely love New Horizons! The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is smooth. The villagers are really interactive, which I thought was pretty cool. My only complaint is that the online play is really restrictive. You have to purchase the Nintendo online thing to visit other people's islands, send them letters, and become friends. Although I can, not everybody can afford the online service, and I feel that those people are missing out on a really cool part of the game :/

I actually bought this for my son and my sister who have both been in major lock down since the beginning. They (both of them and my mom) have had some major ups and downs since the stay-at-home order but when they got this...they find smiles and laughter. They both have houses and they find the laughter each time my sister hits a neighbor on the head with the net instead of talking. Great family fun and even thought of getting another Switch so they can easily play at the same time - but for now, they are able to go out and talk to 'people' and even going shopping without worry about getting ill.
