I never thought a game like this would hold my attention for as long or be so much fun. A great way to immerse yourself into another world that is happy and carefree, without being so simple that you feel like it is only for children. I look forward to playing it every day!

I was really excited to play this, and although it's very fun at first, it gets repetitive fast. It's a wholesome idea, but there's only so much you can do.

Great game, my wife and I are both playing (note you need a 2nd switch to have separate islands). Totally worth buying a 2nd switch. She doesn't game much but has lots of social media friends/groups playing so she's enjoying herself, especially while everything is in lockdown.

Everyone in the family enjoys this game, including our 5 year old. We even made a house and character for our 18 month old and they both get a kick out of it. The little pouch was a nice touch, our 5 year old keeps his bakugan in it. Must buy especially during the quarantine!

it’s basically therapy. i’ve played the previous games before and the way that you can do so much with this game is amazing. it really takes you away from reality during these hard times. i would definitely recommend to any new players as well since it’s very easy to play :)

I love this game especially during this pandemic, I work at a grocery store which is very stressful and this game just helps me escape to an island getaway where I don’t have to worry about real life for a couple of minutes...or hours. It’s so easy to lose track of time.

Perfect game during the pandemic! You play to be the best islander for your island! Can't see my friends during these hard times but thanks to this game, we were able to visit each others' island and play games (we designed our island to be a game island)!

This game is great - starts off a bit slow the first few days, but playing with online friends makes it a bit easier to really shape your island into what you want it to be. I really like the option to just pop in a do a few things or to spend hours reorganizing everything.

This game definitely has been a life saver during the recent pandemic of covid-19. I for one am not too familiar with Animal Crossing titles such as City Folk and New Leaf. But this game sure does perform well and it sure looks great since it has a better platform to play on.

Bought this game for my daughter who has been an Animal Crossing fan for years. The entire family took a liking to it & now we all live on her island. :) I'm glad my kids have this game as a pass time during this pandemic lockdown. Overall, very cute game for all ages.

The purchase through BestBuy: A very quick and easy download that comes in your email after purchase. Just make sure to hold on to the email it comes in. Really handy when you don't want to worry about losing the tiny game cartridge. The game: I've always loved Animal Crossing. I remember playing it on the GameCube when I was young, and since then I've gotten all the games that have followed. After seven years since the release of New Leaf, the game for 3DS, I was elated to find out a new game was coming out, although worried that all the changes may get rid of the nostalgic Animal Crossing feel. However, the changes ended up simply making that seven year wait worth it. It's almost hard to go back to another Animal Crossing game after playing this one, since they stepped up their game just that much. Whether you're new to the world of Animal Crossing or a Forest Life veteran, it's hard not to fall in love with New Horizons.

Take a little mind journey with me; You just got off a stressful shift at your job, turn on your Switch, and load up Animal Crossing. After mashing A for what seems to be 2 years to get through the little daily announcement from Isabelle, you go off to do whatever makes this game so popular among sadists. - Go dig for fossils to turn into the worst museum curator on the planet - Catch the same 3 fish over and over - Wake up a clearly suicidal pelican from his drunken stupor, only to have him word-vomit his entire backstory at you. Every. Single. TIME. - Farm, collect, and sell innocent creatures to repay the loan shark that has your oysters so firmly gripped that your children's grandchildren will STILL be paying off your poor decision to move onto an island with the shark and his family. - Eventually give up and pull off continuous time heists to buy and sell veggies to an old lady to pay off your debts before your fingers are taken, only to have the AC purists screech at you because "you aren't playing the game right". - Go overboard on the time skips to the point where you've paid off all your debts, get bored with the game, take a break for a month, only to stumble across a random YT vid one day that showcases all the players that DIDN'T cop out and quit and their AwEsoME islands that are TOTALLY legit and not hizzacked at ALL, gain minor inspiration to copy their islands until, YES YOU GUESSED IT. You get bored yet again. 11/10, would read through every text box in-game again.

Had to buy this game after finding out it was coming out for the switch. Couldn't have made a smarter purchase. It makes me feel nostalgic coming back to something I would play when I was younger. Also it doesnt hurt to get away from your real life to a fun and exciting one.

I have played Animal Crossing before on previous consoles and even on my mobile device. This game is fun and new because it incorporates a lot of what made it addicting and makes it fresh, at least to me. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the first person that sets up the island becomes the resident representative and they get the most gameplay, goals and instructions. If you have other people in your household of family that live on the same island, they don't get the same exact gameplay. Still, it is very fun to play.

Purchased for my girlfriend and she is completely in love with it. Every day she looks forward to new experiences on her island. A number of my friends have already sunk hundreds of hours into this, so it seems to have substantial longevity. Get the Godzilla statue!

I've been waiting for a new animal crossing game for awhile and this did not disappoint, especially during this pandemic. It allows for long distance communication and lots of fun and creativity. The staff where I picked up my order were very accommodating during this time.
