This is the perfect game to take your mind off of the chaos of the outside world. Near infinite customization and building options. Do not buy this if you can't afford to miss work for the next 3 weeks trying to get your town rank up and pay off that house upgrade loan!

This game has taken the original Animal Crossing from the GameCube and lifted it up to a whole new level. The new detail and simple quality of play additions have brought this series to a new level. I think this game is great for people of all ages and game backgrounds.

This games was desperately needed and it couldn't have come at a better time! It's fun, charming, cute, and something is always going on! And the events are just as fun as well! (eh, Bunny Day was debatable) The Halloween event is coming soon and CANNOT WAIT!

Great game for kids. Youngest daughter loves it. I tried it to see if I should buy for myself but I found it not stimulating enough.

My boys love this game. I find it interesting that they are so into it because there is virtually no action to this game. Yet they will spend hours on it just to gather items for their tent. Guess the game is like real life where it is human nature to collect stuffs.

Very cool RPG game. Requires a more mature player, tried to play with my kid, but she had a hard time grasping the plot and the many commands that are required to complete tasks. I found it easy, but I would nor recommend for any kids under 6.

Purchased this for my fiance for Christmas and she has been playing ever since. Bit of a learning curve but she looked up online how to make friends and get the most out of the game.

If you want an escapist experience to rid tour troubles away from the current predicament outside with the pandemic this game is for you..I never played Animal Croasing before but this game has made me a fan there is so much to do. Lots of customization for your island

I am a long-time fan of the Animal Crossing series, and this installment into the core line of games is an incredible one. The environment feels alive with the breezes and time of day changes. Cute in-game neighbors help you along your journey to building DIY projects.

I bought this for my wife because she loves decorating and cuteness. She isn't a huge gamer but has put in over 100 hrs into this game!! Huge hit and it got me interested, but only one island per console made that die quickly.

My son wanted this video game for some time now and other retailers didn't have it. Went to Best Buy to buy other product and i couldn't believe i found this game there. You can imagine how happy is my child when i got home with this surprise.

So.... my wife and I bought this game for my two daughters and I was thinking how can we be spending this much money on this dumb game but then I started playing it and now I can’t stop and I won’t let my girls even play it haha. It’s a pretty addictive game.

You definitely can tell that the animal crossing team put a lot of time and effort into this game, i was expecting that what you got in the first update is what you got in the game. but apparently they keep adding stuff which is amazing! absolutely recommend this game

Bought this for my wife well after release. She is loving it. Game is packed with things to do. Game play changes during day and night, and for each season of the year. Great for all ages who enjoy slice of life games.

i love it. bought it for my boyfriend for his birthday. he's been playing it since it was on gamecube and is obsessed with it. i now understand why and it came right before we were put into lockdown. definitely worth it especially to pass the time during this pandemic.

My 4 year has begged me to get this after playing on a family member's switch. I thought it was too advanced, yet my toddler has figured out how to make it work and learns new options that makes it almost impossible to be bored.

New Horizons came out at the perfect time. This game got me through the worst of (for now) the quarantine and it's still a pleasure to play even now. The slow pacing of the game may not appeal to all but it is a nice break from hectic or stressful daily routines.

Each of my three kids (10, 8, and 6) loves this game. Especially during quarantine, it's a fun way to keep the days moving! And there's no "losing," so everyone can enjoy playing without the competitive dynamic that comes with some of the other Nintendo games.

This is my 1st animal crossings game, and all in all I enjoy this game a good bit. There are things you should know if you plan on playing this game with your family. I bought this game as a gift for my son, but there are three gamers in the house that are playing this game. The 1st thing you should know about playing this game in a house where multiple people want to play it is 1) "whoever starts the game the 1st time has most of the creative power." The game was for my son, so he loaded it and named the island, picked the layout and is the primary representative with Tom Nook in the game. His game progression dictates the overall progression of the game for all the people playing on that switch system. Everyone else has to share the 1st person's island. Tom Nook will not talk to the non-primary resident about many of the things in the game that advances the island. 2) the non primary resident doesn't get their own island. They can invite additional people to the island once key things are performed by the primary resident. They can also contribute bells towards funding projects such as bridges and inclines but rely on the primary resident to place these things. More than one player can play at the same time on the same console but there is always a leader... You can pass who is leader fairly simple but in my house this devolves into arguments between the kids. A large focus in the game is on resource gathering. Some things become available based on time played. You have to wait until the next days for construction sites to be completed even for fully funded bridges and inclines. There are tons of items in the game, but some are seasonal. Some items are only available at certain times of the day. Nook's Cranny (the in game store) is only open from 8am - 10pm and then there is a drop off service that you can use to sell things after hours (i'm not kidding) at 80% of the value. I feel like I'm griping, however I just think these are things you should consider if you share the switch among several people. I would recommend this game.
