Simple, but so much fun!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely aimed at a younger audience, and my kids love this game. I must admit, I’m liking it quite a bit too! There’s a slight learning curve, as the game doesn’t give you too much info out the gate, but it’s not complicated and worn take long to get the hang of it. There’s so much to do, explore, and see. The local multiplayer could be a little better, but for what it is, it works just fine (just have to get used to taking turns as the “leader”).

Animal Crossing New Horizons
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend this game. Fun experience for all audiences from ages 10 to 18 and up. Living the island life to create new goals, complete new tasks, personalize your island to your liking. Connect with family and friends and visit each other's islands on-line and join each other in person with wireless offline local play. Share by transferring gifts, items, and more to enjoy a whole new experience. Also this game offers a 2 player co-op by adding a second Nintendo Switch game controller. Nintendo offers a free transfer app by moving your island from one switch console to another console by migrating your personal home and save files to a new island home and console hardware.

The Cutest Debt Simulator Ever
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing: New Horizons is basically a game where you move to a deserted island… and immediately get scammed by a raccoon in a sweater vest named Tom Nook. He gives you a tent, a smile, and a loan bigger than my car payment. The gameplay? Shake trees, catch fish, plant flowers, and apparently work full-time as an interior designer for animals who constantly judge your outfits. Pro tip: don’t shake too many trees unless you enjoy being jumped by wasps like it’s a gang initiation. Also, the fishing system is rigged. You’ll either catch an ancient rare shark worth half your mortgage, or yet another sea bass—because clearly the ocean only breeds one fish. Despite all that, it’s the most relaxing game I’ve ever played. I log on to “just play for 10 minutes,” and suddenly it’s 3AM, my house has a second floor, and I owe Tom Nook my firstborn. 10/10—would get stung by wasps again.

Nice, relaxing, and long-term
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing is the kind of game that you can pick up and play anytime you want. It's the kind of game that you can dive into, play for a few minutes, or even for a few hours if you want to. A great game to play with friends whether locally or online, and with the promise of more content on the way, it's overall a great, relaxing, chill game to just explore through and have some fun with. Definitely better than the one that came on the Wii U.

Quarantine Crossing!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot of fun, great game for all ages (kids to adults). Allows everyone to explore their creativity. We have family across states and countries who also have copies of this game, used the virtual world to have a family get together. Even took a family photo in the game. A really relevant game for the current times we are in. For anyone who enjoys a slower paced game focused on building community, structures, completing tasks, etc. This is a great value

Simple & cute, but surprisingly deep
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On the surface, this is a very casual, simple game: care for a private island, make animal friends, and decorate to your heart’s content. However, the sheer volume of content combined with the slow-paced, relaxing tone of the game makes this entertaining for a very long time, and people who dig into the secrets and advanced mechanics will find more on offer. The game is absolutely better with friends, but can be enjoyed fully as a single-player experience.

Amazing game!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing: New Horizons is so fun! I have only played Animal Crossing on Gameube as a kid, and kept putting off buying this title after I bought my switch. However, my partner and I started playing and we love this game! This game is a Switch console seller. If you are planning on playing this game with your partner, more on that below... Three things... One: Please be aware that you can only have ONE island per Switch console. Two: Only the Switch profile that created the island can make decisions for that island. A second player playing on a different profile cannot build any buildings on the island or further the "storyline" of the island. Three: My partner officially claimed our household Switch, and I found myself without a console and bought a new one to create my own island. Now.... you can share a single profile, but if you're looking for analytics for how long you yourself have played the game. And you want to have your own island. (Like myself) Then sharing a profile won't be for you.

ANIMAL CROSSING
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the long awaited entry in the Animal Crossing series. If you are familiar with the games, the additions and crafting will be a refreshment to game play. This game is simple to start and hard to put down. New players will have a wonderful time learning how to become friends with their new animal neighbors and the rest and relaxation of fishing and hunting bugs(among other activities). Definitely pick this up if you have a Switch!

Excellent addition to the Animal Crossing lineup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a beautiful and relaxing game you can play for hours on end. The devs appear to be slowly adding a bunch more content and patches with each major real life event such as holidays or seasons. Given that this game is meant to be played in real time, all players can experience certain things at the same time which is kinda neat. Yeah it has some clunky mechanics and UI but I think the pros heavily out weigh the cons.

A Great Addition to the Series
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing is a great game that came out at the perfect time - amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. A cute, classic series that I played with my sister and friends growing up and hold many great memories with. For both new fans of the series and old, New Horizons is a great addition to the Animal Crossing series that retains the cute playfulness of the series as well as many objectives, goals, creative outlets and more. Plus, there's the option to connect with your friends and family - something integral for many at the beginning of the pandemic, and still equally important today. It's a nice break from the world and an escape off into your own, living peaceful island full of plenty of friends, old and new.

Addictive! But true to the original
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a game that you can lose yourself in for hours. Very tranquil and relaxing, but provides enough challenge to keep you interested. Fair warning, this starts off very slow at first, but picks up steam after the first week or so. True to the original with lots of the same elements, just better and much more visually appealing. Any Animal Crossing fan over the years is going to love this game. Highly recommended!

Friendly Fun For All
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before purchasing this I was concerned that I would quickly become bored with this game. It has been 8 months and I still haven't run out of things to do on this game. The interactions with friends, and "traveling" to visit their islands during a time of real life social distancing really adds a level of warm fuzzy goodness. Kids of all ages can enjoy this game. I recommend it to anyone.

Relaxing, fun, & can be a time hog
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love playing and my daughter is happy to have something we can play together! Having played on someone else’s system, it’s nice to have an island of my own. Lots of time can be wasted playing but at least you’ll be having fun! I recommend this for anyone who needs a get away/escape from the real world for a little bit & likes to play at life.

Excellent game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having only played a bit of Animal Crossing New Leaf, this game is pretty incredible. Graphically it looks great on Nintendo Switch with great day/night transitions and sunrise/sunsets. There is so much to do in the game with some of the more tedious things having been removed compared to past entries. If you are stuck at home or just looking to pass some time, Animal Crossing New Horizons is a great way to go.
