Soothing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animl Crossing game, if you liked the previous games, then you will like this one. Very soothing and relaxing game play. Wish the couch co op was better suited to owners of 2 switches (or if you could have your profile on multiple switches like you can with PlayStation 4s).

Best in the series
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Animal Crossing, and this is the best one yet. Crafting is a great mechanic, that combined with the game's in game achievements, this is probably the first AC game that you don't have to stop playing every day if you don't want to. There is always something to do!

Great for kids, not impressed for adult
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game for kids. Youngest daughter loves it. I tried it to see if I should buy for myself but I found it not stimulating enough.

Gift for my daughter
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for my daughters birthday. She loves sitting and building up her little town. And because you have to read in order to understand what's happening or what you need to do in this game, this helps her with her reading even if she doesn't think so ha ha.

Surprisingly got into this game when I had doubts
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not gonna lie, my friends called me some not so these days friendly names for saying I purchased this game, but I stand by that I absolutely love it. It's easy to get hooked to once you get started and past the first couple of days. I definitely recommend this game!

Family Fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game for adults and kids simulating life and alternate realities. Super for me and the kids. Love the color stories on packaging, game stylus, and covers. Wish I had reserved the limited edition Nintendo game unit to play it on. Three of us could of played together.

This game has consumed my soul
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Typically I do not write reviews but this game is the ultimate disassociation from the actual end of the world. My friends come hang on my island, I’ve been on animal crossing dates, I craft my own stuff!!!! I don’t even believe in the American dollar anymore, only bells.

A Relaxing Way to Pass the Time
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an excellent sequel to the earlier Animal Crossing games. It's a game that's difficult to describe. If I had to compare it to anything else it would have to be The Sims. There's really no way to play it competitively, and that's one of the things that makes it great.

Best game I ever played for a week.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game to play during Quarantine in the midst a pandemic. I played it for like a week straight. I don’t like tarantulas but making a tarantula Island is worth it because now I own my house, thinking about getting a bigger house, may need more tarantula islands soon.

Finally! More options
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great new features. Have had the older version for many years and there's just so many bells to earn and fish to catch, etc before it gets stale. SO MANY new options (New Horizons!) with this version. Just learning it but literally hours of fun. A real improvement.

A-, have gripe about sharing with family on Switch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 1st animal crossings game, and all in all I enjoy this game a good bit. There are things you should know if you plan on playing this game with your family. I bought this game as a gift for my son, but there are three gamers in the house that are playing this game. The 1st thing you should know about playing this game in a house where multiple people want to play it is 1) "whoever starts the game the 1st time has most of the creative power." The game was for my son, so he loaded it and named the island, picked the layout and is the primary representative with Tom Nook in the game. His game progression dictates the overall progression of the game for all the people playing on that switch system. Everyone else has to share the 1st person's island. Tom Nook will not talk to the non-primary resident about many of the things in the game that advances the island. 2) the non primary resident doesn't get their own island. They can invite additional people to the island once key things are performed by the primary resident. They can also contribute bells towards funding projects such as bridges and inclines but rely on the primary resident to place these things. More than one player can play at the same time on the same console but there is always a leader... You can pass who is leader fairly simple but in my house this devolves into arguments between the kids. A large focus in the game is on resource gathering. Some things become available based on time played. You have to wait until the next days for construction sites to be completed even for fully funded bridges and inclines. There are tons of items in the game, but some are seasonal. Some items are only available at certain times of the day. Nook's Cranny (the in game store) is only open from 8am - 10pm and then there is a drop off service that you can use to sell things after hours (i'm not kidding) at 80% of the value. I feel like I'm griping, however I just think these are things you should consider if you share the switch among several people. I would recommend this game.

Family loves it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and both kids (grade schoolers) love this game. We've bought multiple copies of the game so that everyone can play together. In times of old, the families used to circle around board games. Now, my family games together with a few Nintendo Switches!
