I've played AC titles since the first North American release on the Gamecube. This game really blows the others out of the water in a lot of ways, and it's also incredibly relaxing and calming to play. At the beginning you'll have a lot to do and a lot of little milestones that will get you feeling connected to your islanders and your island; once you get deep into the game, it becomes more about making your own fun and getting creative with designing and decorating your house and island. I put over 600 hours into the game before I decided I needed a break

WOW there’s SOOO much of a difference between NH and New Leaf, especially compared to the jump from Wild World to NL. This game is gorgeous (look at the water!!), there’s so much to do and I’m excited to play every day. Granted I’m only a few days into the game and there’s a lot to unlock, but a lot of time can be spent peacefully doing daily tasks. There are a lot of features that have been added and improved since New Leaf, and the game doesn’t suffer from the lack of a second screen. It also plays very well on the Switch Lite. Get this to help you survive your isolation :’)

Basic similarities, but not much else like the oldie platform editions. Very addictive, yet extremely relaxed gameplay. Very impressive graphics, and everything wonderfully detailed. So much to do, and as much time as you'd like to do it. Greatest addition is terraforming abil. This allows you to reshape the landscape around you. Changing the course of rivers, and cliffs, and a whole lot more. Immersive interaction, and you can craft items, furniture, in incalculable ways. Hard to put it down. In the evening. Did I mention the breathtaking museum, that seems to have no end?

This game is really relaxing. I am a guy who loves FPS, RPG, and sports game. I never really play these casual games. The concept is simple build your own island, but their is so many ways you can do that and plenty to do to achieve your dream. Some task are repetitive, but I enjoy it and find this game to be relaxing and not drilling me to finish a mission or kill a boss. The graphics are great and you can really make your character your own. Their is lots to learn and do and I am a fan of this series now. Have to head back now my island is waiting. Stop by any time!

I've played animal crossing since new leaf. New horizons really steps up the game. Although there is not a lot of tutorial content (I can't bring Isabelle sea shells :/ ) Animal crossing does compensate with seasonal events and crafting recipes. And on the topic of crafting- some of it is tedious and repetitive. You'll be crafting basic tools often- unless you want to spend 2500 bells at nook's- and there is no indication when your tool will break. Otherwise, the graphics are pleasant (plants blow in the wind!) and it is very exciting to start up a new town!!

Having played Animal Crossing since the Gamecube days, I love how the game has evolved. The game is essentially a life simulator with cute characters. The game has charming characters, and the colors and environments are fun to look at. You create your own character and you're tasked with helping the island grow. You can get your own house and make it grow. It's a fun and relaxing game where you can fish, catch bugs, and enjoy the outdoors. The game has been fun since the gamecube days, all of the way to the most recent iteration.

If you want to forget about covid and how lame things are right now, this game is perfect. Stress, anxiety, even crippling depression fall away when you hop into the cute, friendly world of animal crossing. The game is easy to understand and thanks to its sandbox nature, you won’t get frustrated by it. You’re free to create your own island however you see fit. You can play online with friends or do your own thing. It’s relaxing designing your house, catching bugs, fishing and interacting with your island critters. Well worth the $60, and then some.

This was the first Animal Crossing game I have ever experienced and I am glad that I bought it. This is the type of game to just sit back with and relax and allow your troubles to melt away. There are a lot of fun things to do as far as building your village, home, and collecting bugs, fossils, and fish in order to expand your museum. I have put over 150 hours into this game and I always come back to it from time to time.

Whether you're new to Animal crossing or a long-time fan of the series, this game has a lot to offer. People may ask what do you do in this game? There's lots to do! Improve your island, build your house, customize your character, play with friends and the local residents, go fishing and so much more. Do what you want for as long as you want. Although the first few days playing the game can feel slow and limited, this is done so you can slowly learn how to play the game and not be overwhelmed. Overall, it's a great game and would definitely recommend it.

This is yet another offering from the Animal Crossing set of games. I bought it as a gift for someone who enjoys Animal Crossing on other platforms. Players like spending time on their islands as well as visiting the islands of others. I think many players enjoy this form of social interaction and find it relaxing (especially during the pandemic). The game allows one to create one's ideal house, furnish it with things he/she likes, wear unique clothes, and visit with villagers and others.

I have over 1000 hours in this game. It got me through the worst time of my life after losing both my best friend and a close family member. There are endless opportunities to customize and decorate, fish and bugs to collect, fun holidays/events, and the villagers almost start to feel like actual friends after a while with all their unique personalities. Nothing but good vibes in this game.

Fun game with plenty of things to do and discover. The details and graphics are stunning; the characters cute and amusing. This game brings out one's creative side in developing an island community. Give and receive little gifts, design and furnish your own home/landscaping as well as those of the other inhabitants, collect resources needed for crafting tools, furnishings and fashion accessories, achieve goals. Well worth the money. If you are looking for a relaxing game to escape into, this is one of the best.

This game is everything I hoped it would be. It's got fun/cute characters, calming music, wonderful atmosphere, and a whole lotta charm. If you're a fan of previous Animal Crossing games, or just looking for a good stress reliever, this game is 100% for you. Obviously this game looks so much better than any previous game in the series, and there is just so much to keep you busy. I can see myself playing this yet in a couple years. By far one of the best releases for Switch to date. I wholly recommend this game to anyone interested.

This game has all the classic features of animal crossing with new mechanics like crafting and terraforming. The customization of your island paradise is limitless. The game plays in real time, which can be frustrating to those not used to it. Some bugs/fish only become available during certain times and completion of buildings will make you wait until the following day irl. Despite these things, Animal Crossing: New Horizon is a wholesome and fulfilling game. Very down to Earth and casual, and now you can play with friends too!

Escape to a deserted island and create your own paradise as you explore, create, and customize in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Your island getaway has a wealth of natural resources that can be used to craft everything from tools to creature comforts. You can hunt down insects at the crack of dawn, decorate your paradise throughout the day, or enjoy sunset on the beach while fishing in the ocean. The time of day and season match real life, so each day on your island is a chance to check in and find new surprises all year round.

I bought this game because there was so much hype around it. After I got it, I understood. Being able to fully customize and create your own island from scratch is very fun. Time passes so quickly when playing but you don’t even realize it because it is so fun. In the first week of having animal crossing I had 70 hours of play time. I didn’t even think I was playing that long. Finding your dream villagers, playing with friends and seeing others islands are what makes the game as great as it is. It is just so cute too.

She has played this game more than I have ever seen her play anything else. Everything about this game is charming, and relaxing food for the soul. Its basically a giant bowl of chicken soup on a frosty cold day. Its extremely easy to get into and start managing your little island, and you can climb out of extreme debt and poverty by catching butterflies and fish. And in a year like 2020 has been, maybe catching bugs and planting flowers with a raccoon and rhino is just what we need.

    New world of Animal Crossing!

As a long-time fan of Animal Crossing, Nintendo adds such a fresh new experience with this one! For one, I like the quality of the graphics and animation (I think most of us can agree on this one, am I right?) And new stuff like the crafting, new tools, new plants, the character creator, choosing the layout of your island; are all nice new additions to this series. After playing New Leaf for so long, I was especially craving paths and more space for designs, but also just more to do. This couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time, because it is like a therapy. It's relaxing and cheerful for the most part (until you catch a sea bass for the millionth time, faint from a tarantula or get stung by wasps. Lol!) As always, the fishing, capturing bugs and digging for fossils have always been a satisfying experience. Especially giving them to Blathers, as he always has such interesting commentary on each donation. I was blown away by the upgrade on the museum, I won't spoil it for you but it is a VERY nice upgrade! Of course, there are some down sides. They are just some slight nit-picks about New Horizons, it's nothing major that makes or breaks the game, really. Just some things they haven't added like in past games, that I feel like I thought they would have added, such as... - No changing town tune (the music that changes every hour of the day) - No Gyroids Again, these negatives don't completely ruin the experience for me, but I'm not gonna lie... I miss the changing town music most of all. The same music gets a bit old for me after a while. Not that the music is bad, but after a while I just mute my sound since I play it for a while. I got the drawstring Bell Bag the game and that was an added bonus. Definitely worth paying $5 extra! The bag is very soft and super cute! I honestly couldn't wait to put my "bells" in it and just shake it for the fun of it. Lol! I may add some actual jingle bells too. Shipping was on time! I was surprised, because I thought it wouldn't come on time due to the whole COVID-19 thing, but if it was a little late, I understand though. But I'm thankful. Thank you, Best Buy!
