I have never played any of the previous Animal Crossing games so I was unfamiliar with the point of the game. After this game was released I watched and read a lot of reviews. I was surprised by the one common common point most people brought up and that was just how relaxing this game is. I spoke to some friends who confirmed this point so I purchased on a whim. It is exactly what I was looking for while being stuck at home during this pandemic business. I can move at my own pace and do not feel the anxiety of other games to accomplish a feat or a goal. You just simply set up your island and move a your own pace. Sometimes I play for hours and other times I play for a few minutes at a time in between doing things around the house or playing with my son. I leave the game running on my Switch so when I wake it up I jump right back in to play for however long. Definitely glad I picked this one up to help pass the time at home. I have a huge backlog of games but this is just one that can be played at your leisure and it feels rewarding and makes you want to do more. Best of all it is stress free!

I love this game. It is a lot like the original from GameCube. My daughter and I are fighting over who gets the switch first. My only complaint is that you can’t have an island for each player. You need to share the same island and the first person that sets up the island is the one that gets to complete the most tasks.

ACNH is my first Animal Crossing game, and so far I am enjoying it. The graphics are adorable and I enjoy the details put into this game. Great for those who enjoy relaxing games that advance at your own pace. The game also receives free updates from Nintendo that keeps things fresh and adds more gameplay.

This is my first Animal Crossing game, and it's pretty fun! I'm not gonna lie, it was kind of overwhelming at first, but I do enjoy it now. It is kind of hard to keep up with everything though, considering how beautiful some people's islands are haha. Its a great game if you love to express your imagination!

Just buy it. Endless relaxing fun, especially during a time like now. I've played all of the Animal Crossing games and the graphics on this and the new features are impressive. I love it. Nintendo has done a beautiful job at modernizing a game to keep up with the times, but still holding the classic values and feel.

The steep price point for a game is justified by the amazing graphics and scope of activities that one can do. One can play this game however they wish and not get bored. I love playing this game right after I wake up and late in the night. It's both very entertaining and very relaxing. I would highly recommend.

It's practically the same Animal Crossing formula you've come to expect but with your entire town/island being customizeable and the most content yet! Be advised though, the game is very slow when it comes to progressing and and unlocking certain features, luckily there is no penalty for time-traveling.

I have loved Animal Crossing since it came out on the Game Cube! This is a fun twist on the original... You have your own island to make like you want it! I won't do a big review here.. I'm sure there are plenty! Animal Crossing New Horizons is great fun for people who like to collect and customize everything!

Since the first day I started playing Animal Crossing, I haven't missed a day since. Whether or not you view that as a positive, ha, that's what you're in for. The game gets you hooked. It's such a charming game, and very relaxing to play. The hours seem to breeze by when I get into play time. I'm kinda in old lady territory and really enjoy the zone it puts me in. I could also see young kids playing it, and just running around the island all day. You can literally just roam around, look at the water, collect seashells by the seashore, and the game would allow you to do that. There's no time limits to accomplish anything, you can just go at your own pace. The goal is ultimately to build things, progress, bring new friends to the island, among all sort of other activities, but you can definitely control your experience. This is literally the only game I play. So if you're buying it, don't go crazy buying other titles, they could just sit around and collect dust.

This game is so satisfying and unique. As someone who loves being creative and feeling like I'm making an impact, I love this idea of building an island. You can do what you want and your love for the villagers and the island pushes you to finish projects and interact with everything in this very cute game.

I must admit, I am starting to think I enjoyed New Leaf for the 3ds a bit more, just because it was not attached to possible DLC. What I mean by that is that the 3ds game had everything from the start... I really enjoyed traveling in the 3ds game to the minigame areas, which this game has yet to introduce. Now I will say the graphics and gameplay are great in this version and Nintendo has a hit on their hands, especially stuck inside during a pandemic. Overall, If you are new to the series, this game is a must must grab. Make sure you buy a pack of amiibo cards to take advantage of adding certain characters to your island.

Everyone in our house has their own copy of this game. It’s THAT fun. My kids play nonstop for hours on end and have built some of the most exotic, hilarious and complex homes imaginable. They constantly play online with friends and family. The characters and gameplay are both cute and harmless as far as I can see. You may have heard that certain countries banned the game due to “offensive content”. The ban is more about government oppression of free speech than actual offensive content. There is nothing remotely offensive about this game, unless you find talking cartoon animals offensive. And the language they speak is gibberish, like the Sims. As an online game, safety should be strictly observed and enforced with younger players. The game itself is harmless but the same doesn’t apply to all online players. I’ve never played AC myself, only observed. But if my kids are any indicator, I can assure other parents who are on the fence about whether or not to purchase this game; go ahead! You won’t regret it.

I don't know why you are bothering to read this. If you are even considering the game, just get it! This isn't going to be the game with the best graphics out there. This isn't the game that's going to be overly competitive. However, this is going to be the game that you begin playing, will play non stop for weeks, and then continue to play every single day after, even if it's for 30 minutes just to collect your fossils, bury as money tree, and see who visited your island that day. I have actually bought 3 copies of this game, one for me, one for my wife, and one for a close friend and we have played it more than any of us care to admit. My wife having played it every single day since getting it back when it first released. It is perfect for any age and you don't have to follow any story line. I know of a few people who literally play just to fish. The seasonal updates and frequent bug fixes and feature add-ons are just another bonus. So stop stalling, get it!

I absolutely adore the Animal Crossing franchise, and NH is a great addition. There are still several things I wish they would have made possible in this game, like more item interaction (I just want to be able to sit in my fancy whirlpool tub and drink a vacation juice okay), separate game and music controls (you should be able to mute the background music as it can be a little much at times), and 360 viewing when outside, or at least greater side-to-side viewing. Overall, though, I cannot complain as they have given us a wonderful game to play during these times. If you need an escape from this hellscape world, buy this game. The characters are very cute and terraforming is quite fun. Seriously, I want to be able to terraform like five other islands now because I don't want to mess up my island any more. Really considering getting a second copy that I can just go wild on. Sure, it is probably brainwashing the younger ones to be good, greedy little capitalists with a questionable moral compass, but I can't help that I love it.

There are no bad words to say about Animal Crossing. This is a great game for kids and adults. Young kids may need a little help at first but once they get the basics I think the little ones will be good to go. Fans or not of previous Animal Crossing games will love this new version.
