    Nintendo delivers once again

I love this game so much, I purchased two more copies for family members. If you're into relaxing life-sim games, you have to give this game a shot. I was previously a big fan of games like Stardew Valley, but had never played an Animal Crossing game. Well, AC is the best I've ever played in the genre. It is relaxing, clever, charming and incredible in scope. There's just an insane amount of content, which was my main complaint about Stardew Valley. You can really personalize how you want to play the game, rather than the game controlling when/where/why/how you play. It gives you a lot of freedom while still giving you plenty of objectives and things to do. I also like that you're never really punished. You might get stung by wasps or attacked by a tarantula, but there are no major disruptions to gameplay from either of those events. All-in-all, if you like games where you get to build things or manage resources to achieve goals, you can't do much than Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's the perfect slice of sanity in very strange times!

Overall this is a great game some people can’t get into the animal crossing games I thought I was gonna be the same way but it’s honestly great you can do basically build whatever you want on your island but after you beat the main story to the game you can do what you want i HIGHLY recommend this game

Animal crossing is such a fun game. There is so much to do in this game, and you can spend hours just doing what you want to do to make your island yours. Highly recommend. Just know that you can only create one island per switch console, so all users on that switch will be living on the same island.

    Charming and Chill Game

Charming and pleasant game, perfect for this pandemic year. This is a game for those who want to relax and slowly take in all the content (of which Nintendo has been steadily providing more of, as they make seasonal updates to the game). You acquire recipes, craft items, rearrange your items, interact with your animal neighbors, catch bugs, catch fish, dive for deep sea critters, shake tress, and pay off your mortgage. You can fully flex your creative muscles in this game too - you can create your own clothes patterns and designs that you can show off in game. You can share these patterns with others as well! It's also fun to visit friends' islands as well (requires Nintendo Switch Online membership, though). However, this game can be chatty at times. Interacting with everything involves multiple lines of dialogue you need to go through (even the in-game ATM!). It takes a while to do anything. There aren't great tools for mass-terraforming your island.

Purchased this game for my wife 2 years ago so she can play with our teenagers. The kids don't play much anymore but my wife plays a little every day still. It must be a great game if she's still playing it daily for this long. Seems to be a fun game for both kids and adults.

Most games get you stressed out with missions and time trials, but you call the shots in Animal Crossing. Design your house, collect bugs, go fishing, meet your neighbors! What seems like a simple game starts to show how deep and gratifying it is the more you delve into everything that you can do!

Animal Crossing is a unique game which leaves many newcomers wondering what exactly you do in it or what the appeal is, so to explain that, in Animal Crossing you live in a village of animals where time flows with real-life time. There are a number of things you can do: talk to your neighbors, garden, catch fish, catch bugs, dig fossils.... How you spend your time is up to you, though at the start, the game will have you do specific things so you can learn how things work. You can earn money for literally anything you collect, and with that money you can buy clothes, furniture, or pay off your interest-free home loan to get a bigger house (you can also ignore the loan if you want). There is a museum you can donate creatures and fossils to, and many people try to find every possible creature and donate it. Anyway, that's what you do. It's not necessarily to everyone's taste, but if any of that sounds fun, you will love this game with its charming graphics, lovely music and vast series of tasks you can complete.

Man, I love this game. As a rule I don't usually give a hoot about video games, I mean I haven't had a console since the eighties, no joke. This, however, is too much fun as most of the planet already knows. It's helped me get through the pandemic, it chills me out when I'm stressed, I am still having fun on it even after having it for months and months. I highly recommend it if you have been one of the rare folks on the fence about it. I genuinely can't stand most games and I absolutely love this one, so if you want something to relax by and have a good time while designing and decorating your space, this is for you. I can even play it with my young kid, who also has a great time on it, and it gives us yet another common interest to bond over. Can't like it enough. Would like to have changing variety of items to redeem with miles, though, but that's beside the point.

This game is fun and very immersive. There are countless items to craft and collect. Everyone in the house can participate and have their own house and share items. The only downside is everyone is vying for a turn to play. We have played this many hours, especially right now. Highly recommend.

Honestly, this game has kept me playing, though not binging as I have been in the past with the series. Real time really forces you to enjoy and play the game rather than time skip and complete your collections in a week. Other than that, beautiful game that pairs well with a busy adult life.

I bought this game for the family to play given all the hype and excitement. Animal Crossing delivers! It’s whimsically fun and there is so much depth to what you are able to do. The discovery of those subtle surprises is what makes this game a delight day after day. We are addicted!

The latest Animal Crossing game came at the perfect time. With millions of people trapped at home, what better than a game where you travel to your own private island and mingle with anthropomorphic creatures while you decorate your home, go fishing, catch bugs, and otherwise lounge around? If you share a Switch with family members, you can even play couch co-op with up to four players. The only downside is each person playing on the same console does not get their own island, they only share one, and only the "main" player can make progress. But it does have online eight player capability and the design tool you are given for patterns is very robust. Keep in mind, this is not the kind of game that you just waltz in and "beat", it's meant to be played in short bursts. There's no end goal, really (unless you count paying off debts, adding new facilities to the island). It's a social simulation type game where you chat up locals and just do your own thing. Just what the doctor ordered to pass the time.

What can’t you do in this game? Fully customizable house, exterior and eventually the whole island! The phone feature makes gameplay much more streamlined and fits very naturally into the game. There are a few gripes like one island per console but that doesn’t take away from how great it is!!

This game is honestly something of a wicked experience. I have always played action-adventure rpg games and have been a fan of games that release cyclicly every year that include Pokemon, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Mario, etc. I've been playing games all my life and I kind of got bored playing the same game with the same mechanics all over again with different gimmicks. I'm happy to say that this game has proudly got me back into my long-time favorite hobby and reminded me why I love video games so much. It is so different and unique from everything I've personally played. Now I'm sure there are other games with a similar format, and I was hesitant on trying something new that I would probably end up not playing. From all the unique things you can do and the world/character development, I'm glad I gave this a shot and most of all this game has made me believe that I should keep an open mind and try out new things to play.

This is the first Animal Crossing I have invested serious time into. There are so many options for being creating and building the perfect community. Everything is explained to you over time but it may take several days to really get started. A great experience but not for impatient players.
