It's one of the most relaxing, friendly game series there is, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons ($59.99) for the Nintendo Switch is no different. It adds some new features like crafting to the mix, but it still offers the same low-pressure, Zen-like experience of its predecessors.

I needed something that will prevent me from seeing all my family and friends, and this game was it. I made new friend and new family. Nothing will stop me from giving them gifts, seeing them, and making their live better when I see them each day..... Maybe I should go see my real family/friends?

It's practically the same Animal Crossing formula you've come to expect but with your entire town/island being customizeable and the most content yet! Be advised though, the game is very slow when it comes to progressing and and unlocking certain features, luckily there is no penalty for time-traveling.

This is a fun and addicting game to play as a kid or even adult. There is so much to do and you can play for hours. The game starts off slow but picks up after a few days of game play. I am excited to see what future updates will bring. Highly recommend this game during quarantine. It is very popular already.

New Horizons is absorbing and feature rich, and something that will allow you to decompress and relax on your own deserted island; crafting, friendship building, task completion, bug catching, fishing, designing, and more await. Don’t expect an action packed experience, and let the game bring you warmth and joy.

As I'm sure most will say, this game came out on the Switch at the most PERFECT time. Right as quarantine was starting, this game saved so many people from going beyond insane with this pandemic we are going through. I owe everything to this game for getting me through the past year.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my fiancée. I brought this game for her and she hasn’t stopped playing it. We live in New York and she connects with her friends who have the game as well that live in Colorado and Maryland. She likens it to sims but with a more personal touch

I think that this new game Animal Crossing is the BEST ONE so far, nothing could beat this game, but I've got a few improvments/suggustions that could really bust this game up fast and hard, if there could be diffrent buildings that we could add, mabey a school, a church, a docter office.

Like my title says...i'm addicted to this game! All my friends bought this game and i didn't think much of it. Actually i didn't even own a switch! I played one day of this game on my friends switch and instantly got hooked. The next day I went on a hunt to buy a nintendo switch and ordered this game!

Excellent game to enjoy with friends or family. This is a great game for those that would like to not focus so much on what is required to do be done but rather comfortably willing to explore and create items for your characters. Great game even if you have not played the games in the past!

I enjoy it. Its fun and relaxing to play. I like all the things you can do cersus it being a gsme you can complete in a week.

I’ve been playing this game since I was a kid on my DS so this brought back lots of nostalgia. This version has so many more features on it than the older ones and that just makes it so much better. If you’re looking for a chill, slice-of-life game to play, this is the one to get.

Another great entry in the Animal Crossing series! Beautiful graphics and a wonderfully engaging gameplay loop. A great game for gamers of all ages.

I bought this game for my wife to get her into gaming. It was a huge success and she has not put it down since I gave it to her. Fishing, catching bugs, and island hopping are great. She was thrilled when she found out the bugs and fish change with the seasons. I highly recommend this game for any new gamers.

The game is totally worth the hype. I don’t feel that it as revolutionary as most have praised it to be. If you have liked previous games of this series, you will most likely love this one. There have been constant free updates and fixes. It is even more fun if you have a friend or friends who play also.

I can't explain the purpose of the game but I can explain that Animal Crossing does live up to the hype. Nonstop fun and hours goes by before you even realized how long you have been playing. I was worried at first about playing because of not understanding it, but if you own a switch, you must own this game.

I’ve only played the animal crossing on the GameCube but once I got my switch I couldn’t wait to buy the switch version. The graphics are nice and the game itself has many interesting features much different than before. It was a nostalgic game and was very impressed when I got to play it.

This is the first animal crossing game I’ve ever played, and I love it. I was originally skeptical about paying full price for a game where I would be paying off debt and doing menial tasks. But once I’ve played it for a while, it’s really grown on me. I don’t really know how to explain it but it’s addicting

Such a chill game, you can literally leave this on in the background and the pleasant sounds from the island will most likely relax you in these stressful times. The game is deep, but not overwhelming. The game is charming, but not incredibly campy either. Nintendo magic at work! What are you waiting for?

This game is definitely not for everyone. But, if you enjoy life-sim games and you need something relaxing to play, this is the game to pick-up. It does start out slow, admittedly. But, the awarding achievement system, elements of customization, and some of the best visuals on Switch make up for that easily.
