Be aware, this is not a normal simulator like Stardew Valley. It’s based on real time (including seasons) so some progress is time gated. Also, you are limited to one island per console. Everyone shares that island, but only the person who created it can advance the island (aka infrastructure). If one person plays primarily and others more casually, you won’t notice. But if you have two players who play a fair amount, communication is key. Disclaimers aside, the game is excellent. It’s very relaxed, which is great for our current situation. And it’s a great game to let me 4 year old play, and she is just learning how to properly use a controller. Of course she just wants to walk around and talk to your neighbors. And because of the aforementioned island system, she’s able to created her own character, and we can play together. It’s easy to find info about the gameplay, but those are some things I think people might find helpful knowing.

As a long-time fan of the Animal Crossing series, I was eagerly anticipating "New Horizons," and I'm happy to report that it has exceeded all my expectations! One of the best feel good games, I have spent hundreds of hours playing that game getting my island to a five star and cannot wait for the update that is coming out this year.

This was my first ever Animal Crossing game, but I have since gone back to play New Leaf, but I keep returning to New Horizons. I love the little island that I have built for myself, I love the animals who have come to live on my island and come to be my friends. Who is this game for? Everyone. Literally everyone. There are so many ways to play. Build amazing islands that test the bounds of what you can do, or just relax, fish, catch bugs (and even farm now!) It's impossible to be disappointed with this game!"

Warning. Very addictive! I bought this game to play with my sisters. Then my husband started playing and he loved it so much we ended up buying a Nintendo Switch lite and another Animal Crossing: New Horizons just so we could both play!

If you're an older person like me(52) and looking for a game you'd like,this is the one,i absolutely love this game,it cures my boredom cuz its so much to do in this game, no wonder its nintendo second best selling game after mario

Animal Crossing: New Horizons completely changes the premise of the series while sticking to its gameplay roots. By having the player creating the town as opposed to moving in you are given 100% freedom as to the location of every building including the NPCs' houses as well as to any personlized areas you create. Because of the new feature of being able to place down any item you obtain in the overworld you can make locations completely unique to your whim. I myself have made a children's park and a camp site. But that's not even the tip of the iceburg. There are hundreds if not thousands of items to mess around with and be used. You can truly for the first time create a town in anyway you see fit. This was just the shake up the series needed and is a game you could play for years because of it.

I love animal crossing it’s a very fun game to play and there is a lot of things to do and missions to complete! It really brings out your creative side ! It’s a fun games for all ages especially children !

I’m new to Animal Crossing, so this is my first time playing the franchise. First thoughts entertaining. The game immediately grabs your attention front the very start and involves you in the development of your island. Characters are unique as well as funny. The graphics are really good, also the island sounds truly surround you when wearing headphones. The game consistently keeps you striving at goals, offers surprise guests, and new islands to explore to keep you from becoming bored easily. Customization of your home, clothing and the island is easy to become addicted to in the game. The game is very simple to learn to play for all ages. Just basic reading and comprehension skills needed. Overall ACNH is a great game to spend some quality “me” time on all while on a virtual island.

Great game! My island has turned into a little paradise, my villagers are basically my friends now, and I’ve spent hours fishing, decorating, and hunting for fossils. It’s totally relaxing… until I realize I’ve been playing for six hours straight!

Im a nurse and a mom of 2, a 10yr old and 10 month old so everyday is busy. Even before the quarantine came out, i hardly even went out so this game is perfect for stay at home moms or dads, or anyone working who just wants to relax when they get home without dealing with a challenging game, for any age group able to play, its the go to game of the year! Thank you Nintendo! Maybe a little issue with the game here and there but overall its a definite 5* ! Definitely worth your money! And yes you can play this game on either the nintendo console or the switch-lite. Enjoy!

My wife was on the fence about whether or not she would get much use out of this game. I bought it for her hoping she'd at least try it out and if not we'd find someone to sell it to who may play it. She's played it daily, constantly reimagining and redecorating her island. I'd say the only issue with the game is that only one island per system can exist. So any families purchasing for children should expect the children to share an island or buy an additional system and copy of the game so all of the kids can play on their own. From what I've read, sharing an island means the account who plays is the primary account. Any other Switch accounts are secondary accounts, must build on the island of the primary, but are limited in what they can do and how far into the "main game" they can go. A secondary can only progress as far as the primary, and if one account collects the daily resources from the island, like rocks, then the other accounts cannot do that. Additionally the game has a lot of inconveniences besides the account issue. For instance when interacting to sell/buy some things you can only do one at a time, therefore you must continue to interact with the character as many times as you want to perform the action. Many other in-game menu inconveniences that other games do so well, it's a wonder this game doesn't resolve some of them for the players. Aside from all these simple to solve inconveniences and frustrations from them, my wife loves the game and has definitely gotten value from the game.

We decided to finally jump on the bandwagon and give Animal Crossing a try. Went the Best Buy and….this was the Last hard copy in stock! Got it for my nephew (and myself) for his birthday. We both love playing our Nintendo switches! Great gameplay. Super fun game. Fun for everyone. Definitely recommend.

I loved this game so much, but after Nintendo stopped allowing the use of sharing digital games through primary and secondary switches, me and my wife had to play one at a time, so I bought a physical copy, cause it was cheaper at the time, and now we can both play together again, and just visit each others towns via local play, instead of online all the time now. Great stuff!

My 14 Year old = It is a great game I would think it is a great game if I did not play previous versions in the series. I feel they demoted the villagers to after thoughts. Rather than a true aspect of the game. Afterthoughts= They don't give you task anymore. They are a way of getting items that you need rather than true interactions. My 9 year old Great!!!! The bike ought to be rideable not just furniture. Dad = They are a waste of time, way too expensive and allows them to escape the reality that life is more than games. It does not have sex or violence the only reason I purchase it for a birthday gift.

My daughter love it so much . She enjoy a lot in playing.
