Animal Crossing is just one of the most enjoyable and relaxing games I have ever played. It's really escapism at its finest (which has been really great because of all the recent changes because of COVID-19). I'll admit, I was a little hesitant before buying the game (I thought it was going to be boring). However, even though the first couple of days went by a little slowly, after that, I really started to enjoy the game. I've already played over sixty hours on it, and I'm still planning on continuing, so it's money well-spent in my opinion. It's definitely a game that you can play at your own pace, and there is no real rush to complete the tasks quickly if you don't want to. It's really a stress, free, enjoyable game. Who knew doing chores to pay off an in-game loan could be so fun? Definitely would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys cute, relaxing, and enjoyable games.

Animal Crossing has always been an enjoyable series largely in part due to the relaxing gameplay and music. It's an easy game to pick up, but sometimes harder to put down. They've packed a lot of content in here and it looks like even more will be on the way.

This was my first Animal Crossing game. It came at the perfect time during quarantine. It kept me busy and distracted for hours, it's a fun game to play solo or with friends or family. There is a lot do in this game and will be well worth the purchase.

Still a great game, I played all the past animal crossing games, but this one is the easiest to get into if you've never played. After the more recent update there's more to do, so it'll take a while to run out.

Very relaxing game. I can play with my 3 boys here at home or with my daughter in the Navy. You can visit other people's islands and give gifts. It's lots of fun amd not a fast paced game. Lots or ways to be creative.

A wonderfully fun game. Animal Crossing has never been better. The amount of customization options in terms of creating your own dream island makes past games look obsolete, including placing furniture anywhere on the island and the terraforming possibilities. The graphics are pleasant to look at and the soundtrack is peaceful as always. This game provides fun experiences every single day for me - decorating your house, fishing, and capturing bugs doesn't sound that much fun on paper, but the experience of watching your island grow is really worth it. There are some drawbacks, mainly with some quality of life issues (unable to craft in bulk, unnecessary dialogue). But these drawbacks are minor nuisances and don't take away from the experience for me. Important to note that you can only have 1 island per system, if you have multiple players of a single Switch console.

This game was truly made with love and care for the series and fandom. There are some quality of life updates that are needed but the game is fun, relaxing, and addicting. It also has received support from Nintendo in the form of post launch free content.

Nintendo has once again given us a wonderful Animal Crossing game. For people new to the series, this game entails fishing, catching bugs, building wardrobes and other Do It Yourself items and is a very relaxing game to play. Just watch out for the spiders.

I have put in over 100 hours and they keep releasing more and more content this summer. Very fun to play with your kids where they can fish, swim, catch bugs, and buy clothes/furniture. There is always a lot of things to do. Highly recommended.

My kids love this game. Overall I would rate this a five star hit with the kids; however I have to mark it down to a 4 star (possibly 3?) because of the limits the game has with playing multiplayer on the same console. There can only be one main player on an island, in which only that player can begin/complete the different objectives. Thus, time sharing a console with multiple kids has proven to be difficult to accomplishing objectives. Additionally, in multiplayer mode, the 2nd/3rd/4th player(s) is/are stuck in a follower mode scenario and not able to access their own collection(s) or do anything aside from what the 1st player wants to do. Very different from the multiplier games I grew up with. Ultimately, the sharing factor became more and more difficult to the point in which I was tempted to either take the game away, or do what the creators likely want consumers to do and purchase an additional console(s) (Nintendo Lite) and additional game(s). Having 4 kids and also being a bit of a softy; I now own 4 Nintendo Switches and 4 of the same game (which apparently has some added benefits as far as the objective of the game goes; as well as their ability to play together via WiFi). Ultimately I am the one who gave in and made the additional purchases, but this came was the root cause. So a win or lose strategy by Nintendo and the game developers got the best of me.

Shipped just in time. Haven’t put this game down since. Please note that their is only ONE island per Switch console. Anyone who isn’t the first player, will have to take a seat to all the jobs you’re given. Like choosing animal house locations, and etc.

With the inevitable shipping delays because of the global pandemic, I actually wasn't sure if I'd get the physical version of this game. I'm extremely grateful to USPS for getting the physical copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons to me despite all of the difficulties in doing deliveries at this time. Shipping aside, in terms of the actual game itself, I had a feeling I'd enjoy it because I've been playing Pocket Camp (the mobile app Animal Crossing game) for quite some time now. I will say though I did worry a little about whether I'd get bored of the game quickly. However, this game is the perfect thing to play during this time of social distancing and quarantine. I've had lots of fun visiting my friends' islands and hosting friends on my island as well. Not to mention the fishing, bug catching, and customization that you have the capacity to engage with.

This is the first console version of Animal Cross we have bought, and it has been spectacular. The ability to switch between console and mobile play makes playing this a non-stop endeavor... there is so much to see and do, new things to create and explore. It feeds new goals and updates at an even pace and even introduces limits to logically stop playing when appropriate, because you can total obsess. The whole family loves playing and each has their own section of the island to maintain and design. If you own a Switch, you should own this guilty pleasure... it may look 'cartoony' but the depth and detail is anything but. Strategy, planning, budgeting, it all comes into play for kids to learn... even the concept exchange using turnips. For adults its a fun getaway though... give everything its own look and feel, and make it reflect who and what you are.

This is by far my favorite game in the whole Animal Crossing series. The graphics in this great are so good compared to the most recent release and the story components are great. It does suck that you can't have more than 1 island per console though.

Amazing game! The crafting aspect adds a nice addition to the Animal Crossing franchise, and isn't that hard to use. Whether your a newcomer or a veteran of this game, you'll love it. Your first day is a little slow, but it gets better as time goes on.

Love this game, relaxing, go at your own pace type game, very slice of life. Not suitable for those whom are impatient unless you want to work on that. You live on an island and talk/help your animal neighbors. You decorate everything (island and house however you want(including your little avatar person in the game) it’s basically about taking care of something all your own, there’s in game tasks every day if you care to do them but other than that there’s no objective, the in game weather/holidays reflect real life, there is a multiplayer aspect if you want to invite other people whom also have a switch/switch lite and the game to come to each other’s island and hang out/take pictures/trade items. That’s pretty much it. Been playing every new form of this game since the very first one on game cube, I think it’s a lovely sweet game for any age.
