This game is so charming. It's hard for me to really explain properly an Animal Crossing game to someone who is unfamiliar with the series but for me this is a lovely little escape to a virtual island paradise where I can fish, catch bugs, make friends, and build up an island that I want to live on. Plus Nintendo has been pushing out regular monthly updates that have added new stuff to do!!

So much fun --- but YOU CAN ONLY NAME YOUR ISLAND ONCE! So once you choose that name there is no going back. When we got the game we were under the impression that each new game would be its own island etc etc but that is not the case. The one island will be cohabited by everyone that plays the same game on the same console. Its different but a lot of fun!

Animal Crossing is a fun and relaxing game. My child enjoys it. Its nice to see the seasons and weather change. Its a realtime type of game and never ending. You can build your own island and enjoy yourself online with others and enjoy there island as well. Its played just about everyday. It can be played before school and after for a relaxing feel after a long day.

If you're the type of person that doesn't like a game if it doesn't really have a "challenge", "bad guy", or "plot", then this game isn't for you. I'd say that this game is for people that like Minecraft and Sim City. There's no management of resources or anything like that, but it's planning and socializing. Overall it's a game to relax with, to obsess over, and to take your time with. I love it!

I bought this game to play with my partner, and it has exceeded both our expectations. The returning characters, systems, and themes from previous entries elicit nostalgia, and the new gameplay elements add levels of complexity and freedom that are much appreciated.

So I am still working this game, but what I can tell is that the play to started the island gets to make most of the rules. You can now place items inside or out and as you play you seem to unlock more skill and stuff to do. Couch multiple player is follow the ladder, but it's easy to change the leader. You can buy stuff and make stuff from collected stuff! The game keeps you coming back for more.

I bought this on a whim, thinking maybe I’d get a little enjoyment out of it. It soon became a near obsession. It’s hard to explain the appeal—doesn’t sound like a lot of fun—you have to do chores to earn money (or bells) to purchase items. But it’s so much more than that, and getting the upgrades, filling the museum, and landing those rare items will have you playing for countless hours.

Animal Crossing is an amazing series that helped a lot of people in quarantine. If you like a chill relaxed game where you make your own spaces then definitely pick this up. Long term fans of the series will love but there is a LOT of content missing that was in previous games. I really hope they start having bigger updates, even the mobile game has more/cooler furniture.

This was my first Animal Crossing game and I'm probably not in the main demographic, so I wasn't too optimistic. However, this turned out to be one of my favorite Switch games. I even poured over 100 hours into it the first month. As a fan and daily player of simulation games, this was a perfect match for me. End of game content is great too. I keep playing long after the credits have rolled.

If you are a long time fan of the series you won’t be disappointed, but you won’t be amazed. It is more of the same “animal crossing formula,” but that is not necessarily a point I would hold against it. Animal crossing is always an adorable game that draws you in to the charming atmosphere and lovable characters. If you enjoy it you will inevitably donate many hours to grow your town, recruit more neighbors, and build friendships with everyone. Over the last year it has shown that Nintendo has not steadily updated the game with many events that make me want to come back to play that often. There are new updates coming soon, but may not be completing for some. The biggest drawbacks of this game are the online functionality, which barely works, and is extremely frustrating when traveling from town to town. Trying to move your saved data to another switch (if you decide to upgrade your switch) is non existent. Nintendo has never been user friendly with any online services within games and this does not break that mold. If you are looking for another animal crossing experience you won’t be disappointed if you can overlook the online issues that cause frustration.

The game is very relaxing you can do as much or as little as you would like depending on your time. Nothing is missable, per say some events are tied to holidays, but you can always time travel in case you miss any holidays. The game does an excellent job catering to casual players.

If you've played the previous games, you know. It's a charming, happy, low-stress game that you can play a little bit every day for a long time. This one has the most stuff to do, most customization, best graphics and most streamlined gameplay in the series. If you're interested, I totally recommend. If you've played the others, then you already know basically how you'll feel about this one.

I played this game every day and it is really a sweet game, with furniture, customs, houses, and villagers, it is very appealing to many Animal Crossing fans and gamers, even during the pandemic! I would highly recommend it to any gamer who would like to play this game for relaxation and visit islanders/friends local or online!
