Perfect timing for the release of this game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a coincidence Animal Crossing is finally released for the Nintendo Switch right when everybody is locked up under quarantine. This has kept my 19 year old college daughter sane in between her now online college classes. She is connecting with old friends and new friends. I don’t understand at of it but she is thrilled with her fruit trees and everything she is doing to her community and whatever else. Seems like this game is perfect for young and old

Fantastic way to pass the time
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this game. Great for one or two people to share island responsibilities. You are able to customize clothing, furniture, and many other parts of the game. Consistent free updates are still being released that are expanding the scope of what's possible. This game takes several (and I mean many) real-time days to unlock all features. If you are in a rush, this game might not be for you. but, if you take the time, the game will be quite enjoyable.

The most addicting game I have played in years!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a good game that would break me away from work and boredom of COVID-19 quarantine. A friend suggested that I pick up Animal Crossing. I've been very impressed and have been playing it daily since I purchased it. While a relatively simple game, the small tasks and things you do are quite satisfying. Great for people of all ages. If you pick this up, I hope you have some spare time on your hands! It's addicting and will suck you in.

Perfect only if you intend to play single player
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a must have for single-player Switch owners of all ages. It's relaxing, engaging, and has enough variety of content to keep you coming back for more. My wife and I have 150+ hours each in this game and we still haven't run out of things to do. Unfortunately the multiplayer leaves you scratching your head, wondering how in the world they thought its various features were OK to implement. Want a friend to visit your island? Ok, have a pointless 2 minute animation/loading screen that is impossible to skip. Friend wants to go back to their island? Have another unskippable animation/loading screen. Want to have a friend over to your island to do some collaborative decoration or landscaping? NOPE; can't do that. Can't even pick up an item to put it in your bag. A Switch console can only have ONE island. That's it. Doesn't matter if you have 5 different profiles, the Switch is locked to that one island. That means if you share your Switch with anyone else, you will be forced to share the one island. The islands are unfortunately just the right size for only one person. 2 or more sharing one island drastically reduces the amount of gameplay a person can enjoy. Not to mention only one person can do the things that advance the story. The other people can only decorate.

I think it’s a good game
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think animal crossing is a good game for playing on your free time when your bored, It’s an enjoyable game with lots of things to do each day which is your opinion to do at all. It could be cleaning the up the island and putting flowers all around or you could sell rare bugs/fish to gain “bells” to spend it on clothes, tools, housing furniture, or even play off your house loan. It’s honestly very customizable compared to older animal crossing games

Super fun and wholesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is such a nice little game to just sit and relax to. you can build your island from complete scratch to a beautiful 5 star island. there’s a lot to do and if you’re looking for a game you have to put some work into, this is the game for you. it isn’t very fast pace, you have to wait a day for a lot of things to finish building once you start on them, but that keeps the interest in the game. i recommend this game, it is worth the hype.

Good game, but didn't grab me as much as New Leaf
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played Animal Crossing: New Leaf for over 2 years, so I knew what the Animal Crossing formula meant as far as gameplay. While I did enjoy New Horizons, it didn't hold my attention nearly as much as it's predecessor. I'm not sure if this is due to lack of content or too much content. The game has lost several NPCs and stores to interact with from New Leaf. At the same time, it throws in busy work with crafting and growing food. So, missing some things from New Leaf while throwing new things in the mix. It's a good game for those who know that this is a game to play a little each day - not for multi-hour play sessions. I just with we hadn't lost some of the charm of the old while adding in the new.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal Crossing is a really fun game. I've spent countless hours playing it. It's fun to just spend an hour or two either fishing, bug collecting, fossil hunting or changing the layout of your island. There are also fun seasonal activities like the Bunny Day event and quarterly events like the recently finished fishing tournament and the upcoming bug hunting event. The only thing is the first few days are a little slow to start unlocking buildings.

Relaxing and charming with Nintendo's quality
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pandemic will forever give this game a sense of nostalgia, so I hope it never dies. It helped many people including myself get through a very difficult time! The opportunities for creativity are endless, proving not every game needs linear storytelling or conflict.

Addicting....A little too addicting
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had people telling me for so long to try this game, but the cover just looked so childish to me and almost like those games that have timers on it till you can do anything. But then I played it and now I'm addicted. It is so much more! Open world, lots of activities to do freely, and you can customize everything and make it your own world based on your personality.
