Customers express satisfaction with the Bolt Charger's Bluetooth connectivity and microphone quality, frequently praising its ease of use. However, negative feedback centers on the Google Assistant functionality, with comments citing slow response times and compatibility issues, particularly with iPhones and other non-Android devices. Some users also reported difficulties during the initial setup process. The overall experience appears mixed, with strong positive feedback on certain features offset by significant concerns about others.

I bought this the day it came out, and from the first day, it had issues connecting to my Samsung phone for setup. Then once I finally had it connected to my car and phone, it would only connect automatically to my Bluetooth once out of every 5 or so times. Then when it would connect it had a very long delay to respond to any "Hey Google" requests.
Maybe they fixed these issues with firmware updates... but, I returned it.

I love this little dongle it works great most of the time. it has had a few issues but simply unplugging it and plugging it back in seems to reset it just fine. It's definitely great for those who have radios that are Bluetooth and don't have Android auto.

I have an 05 pick up, and when my new phone doesn't have an automatic port I needed a solution. This was it. You need to install Google assistant on your phone. It will play music from my apple music account and give directions. It makes my phone hands free. No issues with it not answering me.

This device makes it easier to listen to music and/or videos on my phone......thru the car speakers. I also like that it has Google Asst where I can listen to directions thru the car speakers instead of the phone itself. Its a good device for a car that isnt fully bluetooth capable

If you like fiddling with your phone's bluetooth every time you drive, then this is the product for you. It does not stay paired. When it is paired it cuts in and out like you wouldn't believe. Just garbage. You can't reset its bluetooth. I challenge you to prove me wrong. You barely rest your thumb on it and Ms. Google herself yells at you that it's not connected. You will end up using the google assistant on your phone because who the heck knows what magical press of the button is what the engineers intended. I usually like Anker products. But this is just trash. Listen to me. You, reading this. You don't want this. Go buy some amzon no name brand and you'll probably be happier.

This is a neat little gizmo that allows near full access to my google enabled devices. It is really convenient to be able to open doors and turn lights on while I’m driving. When I bought this I was selling my house, so it made it handy to control things when potential buyers wanted to stop by.

This works pretty well. I wanted a Google assistant auto device after trying the Amazon auto. I have moved everything to Google since Amazon does not support YouTube music. Only issue that I have is I sometimes have to tell at it.

Purchased for my daughter's 11-year-old car that does not have Bluetooth capability. I installed and liked my phone to it. The one time I had to drive my daughter's car it worked as an acceptable speakerphone, I did not test the Google Assistant.

This unit was great, only downfall is where you power port is located in the car. Mine plugged into center console which did not allow for me to use the voice features but overall nice for the audio over bluetooth.

“Hey Google” in the car

All around best hands free smart device solution for the car. Most anything you can do with a Google smart speaker in the home can now be done in the car. It’s easier to get driving directions using normal speech with this device and my phone than using the built-in GPS in my car. I digitized all my old CDs and uploaded them to Google cloud and can play them thru my car speakers via voice commands.
The only complaint I have is, there is a slight delay in response from voice commands. This could be because of my cellphone/internet service coverage and signal. Other than that, I highly recommend this device.

My son bought this for me as a gift. I was skeptical at first because my phone could do all of this already. I have found I like this product and it is much more handy than trying to use my phone while driving.

I bought this charger because the google integration. It made my car to be slighty smart and I really like to use the command controls to control my music, maps and and even voice texting. Plus it has 2 charging ports which is an advantage!

My car is older and does not support Bluetooth through the main stereo. The product allows me to play media hands free and without connect an aux to my phone. My only criticism is that the responses are sometimes misunderstood and answered incorrectly.

The idea is really cool but the implementation is not yet there. The sound quality was decreased by quite a bit for my liking as there was no bass and the music in general sounded muffled. With the commands, some of them work really well and some just couldn't get what I was saying.

This is useful to add hands free calling to a car without bluetooth. The audio from mics isn't great because placement can only be where dc plugin exists. But so far it is nice to have for calls, listening to music, and directions.

Very nice product and better design than the Alexa Auto model, but she's my friend. I have a Google Pixel 3 so I got this for when I use another car. Connects quickly, but not every time. For the price, I'll keep it.

With any car the setup process is easy. However, it's slow to process commands and sometimes the button doesn't even register that I pressed it. Also not sure if it's just me and my galaxy s10 but my phone has to be on/open to stream anything.

It's google in your car - which you may already have on your phone. But, this one hears you better. All of the smarts still come from the phone, including the internet connection. I've got the Alexa version, too. Love them both.

It interferes with the cellphone blootooth connection with the car, it override s conectivity and want to use the Aux input which means i have to swich inputs on the car to access/stream music from the phone. can access my contact on the car's dashboard. Also; sound is very low.
