Good for 6 months, printed as I would expect. No problem at all. Then randomly it stopped working. Tried some maintenance. Didn’t work. Spent $150 for a new part to see if I just replace the entire extruded if that would work. Didn’t work. This printer has been nothing but problems after the 6 month mark for me.

We purchased this in august of 24. Worked great thr first month. A month later, the filament was jammed. Best buy replaced the machine, with a $50 restocking fee as well as as $250 prixe tag to make up the sale difference. Prior to putting away, made sure to clean out all filament. Took out to use, and once again, the filament isnt going in

The M5 is a great printer until you need to replace parts. The app helpful tells you when you should and so I followed it got the parts and that's where it all went horribly wrong. AnkerMate's "helpful" guides are useless offering visual aids for 1/4 before then going all into bullet points and telling you to do this or that with the names of parts you have no idea and their manual doesn't label so you're left guessing and confused to how to replace anything you've taken apart. I remove my x-axis belt and now can't attach the new one because of this, their videos for other things are for an earlier design and not the current updated model so you can't replace parts. AnkerMake is a terrible choice, buy anything else and save yourself a lot of anger

Looks cool and INITIALLY worked well. However, after a few small projects the problems began with failed prints, line jams, and auto level not working correctly. Overall, printer seems well made but seems print head mechanism was cheaper put on a bit. Hope you have better luck than I did.

I run a small 3d business and this has by far been the worst experience I have ever had. Printer has had nothing but issues sense the day I got it. I have sent 5 messages to and called multiple times (always says they are closed) without a single response. I have leveled it countless times, updated it, factory reset, etc. I have replaced the entire hot end, extruder, and tried 3 different brands and types of filament. I have some creality’s and elegoos and they are a thousand times better for half the price. AnkerMake needs to make this right but how when they won’t answer or respond??

Best 3D Printer in it's Class... With Drawbacks

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Over the past decade, 3D printing has come a long way. Long story short, this printer has acquired almost every single necessity a 3D printer needs at roughly 5% of what you would pay just 10 years ago for ≤ these specs. It has everything that makes a 3D printer great; a good sized printing area, a heated bed, a camera with light, monitoring applications, extended material types, it's own slicer software, it's own tool kit and replacement parts... however, it does have its drawbacks. While I've only had experience with one or two flawless printers out of many in my life with 10+ years of experience of using these, some prints will come out competitive with high end printers. Others just make you scratch your head. The only issues I have ran into so far would be with the support layers not bonding or just simply having warped body layers above the support layers. I've honestly never seen that before and apparently not many others have had this issue either. I want to blame AnkerMake's PLA+ Filament, but have not tried others yet. If this is the case, I will certainly update this review to 5-Stars after trying other brands. Overall, I wholeheartedly believe that this printer is the best bang for your buck. I find it less aggerating than others on the market in this class (Creality) with printing issues and maintenance. I recommend this product to anyone looking to print personal projects.

    Plug and play printer

While I've been around printers, this is the first that I have actually owned an used. We received this printer around the same time as we assisted with setup and tuning of 3 Ender printers. Compared to those printers, this was extremely easy and very plug and play. While their slicer is still a work in progress, it has been the most consistent for me when printing. I have not gotten the Prusa or Cura Slicer dialed in yet for as seamless of prints.
